Like the other posts in the series: this game is simple. You ask a question about a plot point, issue, or anything that left you confused or nit-picking from a famous (or infamous) fan-fic series (spanning all media). Then, everyone else tries to come up with an interesting, exciting, and intelligent explanation, retcon, or rewrite for it. It's not a game about criticizing - it's all about improving (though this might be the most diffcult version of this here game  ). You can also discuss general recurring themes in fan-fics as well (keep it PG-13 folks, for my mental health please...). 

 

 Let's start with the Sonic Fan Movie.

I don't think I'd ever do live action Sonic (unless he look like my homemade avatar pic). I'd rather see a full CGI or hand drawn movie. CGI sounds more plausible (though less pleasing to the eye).

How would you have ended Sonic X

 

For the 4 Kids Version...at episode one.

I would have ended it after Sonic and co went home. There was no need for the following season which looked and felt too rushed

The Sonic Fan Film? Well for one I would have the model more closer to what he has now from Unleashed to the Present, 2nd is that if they wanted some "realistic" then a few small details to the fur would fine, but not like how they handled it. Also I would have had Mr. White have a more consistent voice tone for the movie, I mean of course Sonic's Voice coming from him would be a little different after all these years but sometimes it was either similar to his voice work from DiC or it was a little deeper. There are a bunch of things I'd do different really, I'd probably make the ending a little different too.

 

As for ending Sonic X, yeah I agree that ending the 4kids version would have been a lot better, I could see Funimation doing an English Dub much like how they handled One Piece after 4kids. Now as for Sonic X as a whole, I liked the ending in Season 2 gave us because say what you will about the Metarex Saga HOLY SHIT that ending! I'm talking about the English Sub by the way, seriously the whole 2nd Season feels like it could be in the Archie Comic, it feels dark enough for it to be a story arc. Personally though I would have had The Metarex Saga as the main thing for a Season 3 if anything, I REALLY thought they were going to do a Sonic Heroes Adaption for either the first half of the season or as the whole season, clearly that was not the case. Still It was really cool, Chris wasn't useless and was barely there, they also ACTUALLY focused on the Sonic Characters instead of him!

You know what I'm gonna ask this question right now, how would you have done Sonic X?

The way I would do Sonic X is to either demote Chris as a minor character and a friend of Tails or just get rid of him entirely. Seriously the ONLY reason he was there was to just give the Sonic Team a place to stay on Earth. Why not just have Earth and Not-Mobius be the same planet anyway? I don't know really I mean the concept is interesting but having a character like Chris DID NOT help at all as our Everyman Character was a Watered Down, Bratty Version of Shinji Ikari. If they wanted to have an Everyman Character the Audience can somewhat relate to why not just pick Tails? A Two Tailed Fox is a bit of a stretch but you gotta admit that's a LOT better then Chris. Also I would have liked to have Sonic actually play more of a role with the other characters as he mostly hung out by himself, I CAN expect that stuff to happen with him but they did it a little TOO much. I also would have adapted Sonic Battle A LOT better, but I did like the ending with Cream and Cheese, it was so sad. Not much else to say on how I would do Sonic X, but I would have had a Sonic Heroes adaption that's for sure.

 

Cosmo I though was a pretty good character, but she could have used a bit more of a backbone as time went on though. Her role in the 2nd Season was pretty good, but if the Season had a Heroes Adaption first I would have had it so that she'd be a mysterious visitor and then after the adaption was over we'd kick off the Metarex Saga. I say that because it would have been nice to see the character settle with the cast before they all kicked into gear.
