I have an idea for an RPG, where I'm playing the main badguy. The problem is that I'm going to need someone to take the helm of the main RPG and be our balladeer/sub-GM. In other words, I'll turn the main RPG over to someone else to run in my steed. I'll only take control of stuff to enforce the rules and disputes with the rules. The Balladeer/Sub-GM will be responsible for the actual RPG story, except for what the real GM is about to lay down.
Here are the necessary rules:
1: Keep squick out of the RPG. The Real GM hates squick. So no stuff like gender switching or overt sexual postings. It's an RP, not a porno. If your characters want to have sex, have them literally get a room and go close the door and come back later. Just don't go into what exactly they were doing in there. Alright?
2: Details make the RP world go around. Please use as many as possible for non-squick related posts. And for the love of God, pay attention to details posted by others. The balladeer is responsible for providing a detailed analysis of the previous rounds' postings, as well.
3: Limit 1 post per round. Please try to keep post lengths to around 3 RP minutes worth of information. If your character is saying something, they can also be doing something while they're talking. Otherwise, it's implied that they're just standing there talking.
4: The balladeer is responsible for the story and subplots. The GM is responsible for the world's state, game rules, and initial setup of the RPG. The balladeer and GM will work in concert through PM to handle situations that arise, and throw curve balls at the players.
5: Violence does not equal squick. You may be as violent and gory as you want to be.
7: Characters may be anything. However, in this world, humans are seen as foul, disgraceful, mutant apes. Humanoid robots suffer a similar stigma. If you wish to be of an alien race, or an unusual species of furry/Mobian/ect, then you must provide a link to where the GM and Balladeer can learn enough to get a good idea from.
8: There is no cap on magic or tech limits. However, the stronger the magic cast, the more energy it requires. Similarly, strong energy weapon attacks requite strong power sources. Blendings of magic and tech are welcome, as well. If you want to use something from a videogame or whatever, include a link to a page explaining it.
9: NO VIDEOS or links to videos. The GM can't view these, so they're invalid forms of posting. Also, no veering off-topic in this topic. That's what Vinculum Nexus is for.
10: The RP takes place in the world of SatAM's Mobius, following the defeat of Robotnik. It's an alternate Season 3 of sorts.
11: Character profiles are as follows:
Name:
Species:
Gender:
Age:
Physical Description:
Psychological Profile:
Alignments:
Powers/Abilities:
Weaknesses:
History:
Etc:
12: You may use characters from your other RPGs, or from movies/tv shows/games/etc.
13: Above all else, you should be having fun. So be sure to do so. Be it with character selection, choice of actions, interactions with other players, and whatever else. ![]()
So, the basics are that somewhere, within the darker parts of the SatAM world, while the Freedom Fighters are celebrating their victory, a shadowy character has unearthed an ancient evil and is about to set it loose upon the world.
Name: Mystery Character
Species: Shadow Being.
Gender: Female
Age: Unknown.
Physical Description: A wolf-like Mobian creature made of pure shadows.
Psychological Profile: Dark and Evil.
Alignments: Evil.
Powers/Abilities: Unknown.
Weaknesses: Unknown.
History: Summoned by a more powerful character to awaken a powerful ancient evil being.
Etc: Carries a copy of the Necronomicon, a Hockey Mask, and an ancient machete.
Name: Jason Voorhees.
Species: Undead human.
Gender: Male.
Age: Late 30's in appearance.
Physical Description: 7ft, 5in tall. Undead. Has a face only a mother could love. Severely torn up in some aspects. Wears ratty, blood-stained gray-blue clothing, and leather work gloves, and steel-toed workboots. Slightly misshapen head, with mongoloid hair. Slightly skeletal in some places. Blood red eyes. Usually seen wearing a hockey mask and carrying a machete.
Psychological Profile: Jason is a bit of an oddity. He's not outright evil, so much as he is a force of death being treated like a pawn by forces of evil. Jason is at his core an avenging spirit, of himself and his mother. Though driven to kill, he tends to avoid killing the innocent, harming innocent animals, or otherwise becoming a true psychopath. There is a method to his madness, even if he's the only one to see it... In the end, he just wants to go back home and be left alone... And woe be unto those who stand in his way...
Alignments: Lawful-Evil. Chaotic Good, True Neutral.
Powers/Abilities: Dark Curse of Unending Undeath (keeps bringing him back). Superhuman strength. Killer Savant (Can MacGyver intricate traps and quickly learns how to kill with newly found objects). Scent of Sin (a 6th sense that tells him who's innocent and who needs to die) Teleportation (Can teleport closer to a target, or away from danger). Regeneration (regenerates lost and damaged tissues over time). Not That Stupid (He's a lot smarter that most people give him credit for).
Weaknesses: Slow as Hell (can easily be outrun by anyone who's not a total fatty or gimpy). Easily distracted for about a minute (distractions work well against him, for a while...). Technically Hydrophobic (Buried deep within Jason's subconscious is a fear of drowning. Getting to it will be a dangerous prospect in and of its own right.). Mute (Jason doesn't speak. Communication with him is limited, at best.)
History: On June 13th, 1957, a young Jason Voorhees was thrown in the lake and heckled by his fellow campers, while the councilors were off doing drugs and having sex. He seemed to drown, and the camp was closed down. His body was never recovered. Decades later, the camp reopened and Jason's mother proceeded to slaughter the campers, to avenge her son's death. She, herself, was beheaded by the last survivor. It turned out that Jason was not dead, but had been living as a feral man in the woods, until he witnessed his mother's death. He then took it upon himself to avenge her, until he was eventually killed by young Tommy Jarvis. But Tommy couldn't leave well enough alone. His own psychosis drove him to exhume Jason's body, with the intent of cremating the body. Unfortunately for Tommy, in a fit of psychotic rage, he started attacking the very much dead Jason's body with a fence post. The post was struck by lightning and Jason was awakened for the first time as an undead monster. Ever since, he has been out there, dealing out a warped brand of punishment....
