So in the recent issues of the comics, we see the dissappearence of the Echidnas. I've heard from somewhere that Ken told Archie that he can use his characters, since the whole court case was dismissed. Most of the characters that Ken Penders created were Echidnas. Do you think the Echidnas might come back? Not all of them have to come back, just key ones like Julie-Su, Lien-da, Knux's family, etc. If so, how do you think they will be introduced into the new Sonic comic Universe?

 

If they were to come back, here is how I would like them to be introduced:

In a Sonic Universe arc, Knuckles, Mighty, and Vector venture into the Twilight Zone to find the missing Echidnas (and maybe Saffron too) with Espio watching over the Master Emerald, Charmy, and Ray. They somehow get trapped by Dr. Finitevus. I think it would be a great addition if Knuckles and Co. have interactions with the Brotherhood, Nocturnus Clan, and some Echidna characters, including Julie Su, Lien-Da, Remington, and Knux's family. I also think it would be a great idea to have a confrontation between Knuckles and his mother. Knuckles, Julie Su, Vector, Mighty, Knux's family, Shade, (and maybe Saffron) would escape thanks to the help of the freedom fighters. After they all escape, Julie Su, Lien-da, and Knux's family would get redesigns to make them fit in the Sonic Universe.

 Maybe Knuckles Remembers Shade, since the "Game cannon" has been fused with the "Comic cannon."

I think all characters in Sonic The Dark Brotherhood video game should come back.

You know, that's an interesting concept you have, and I want to say my piece on it as best as I can.

During the imprisonment all of the surviving Echidnas with Safforn Bee and Rob O' Hedge, they have to cooperate to escape the Twilight Cage while surviving as long as possible. While there is tension, their pretty much demoraled due to recent events. Will they survive to get out of this prison zone?

I kinda figured that's how they are gonna handle the echidnas coming back, though with this soft rebooted continuity it could be a little more different then you think it is. Now either they are still missing in this new Prime Zone, OR the Endangered Species Story Arc hasn't happened yet and is gonna happen again the way Ian intended for it to happen with Sonic interfering with Thrash's Plan to move the whole race into the Twilight Cage (or wherever they are). It could also be possible that Knuckles will have never met the Echidna's up until the soft reboot starts, and that the events of Sonic Chronicles happens if (worst case scenario) Archie doesn't want them to use Penders Characters anymore (which is pretty unlikely). The way I would do it would make things pretty different but I would have it so that the Nocturnus Clan and the Dark Legion become the same tribe (you can call it the Nocturnus Legion) as either the new backstory for the Echidnas (which wouldn't be bad) or that this has now formed within the Twilight Cage and all the Echidnas are actually trapped there.

That maybe true, but the problem is that the Twilight Cage (zone) flow slower in time than Mobius Prime. Although I could be wrong. We just have to wait and see.
