@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

If some are you are the fan of the comic or not... check this out:

https://www.change.o...-hedgehog-comic

Maybe you members could help. I'm not saying it'll work, but we might give it a shot. Maybe...

So... let's see what happened if we try to bring back the characters from the Archie Comics. Or not... :/

It's not known as of right now if any or all those certain characters are never coming back or not, personally I think all this panic is blown WAY out of proportion and I'm all for the changes. But I can understand why some people would want to have it like the old days, I just wish people would try out the Semi-New Canon before hating on it but that's just me.

Seriously, HOW THE HELL did nobody know that Robotnik was evil!? I mean just look at those red, glowing, hellish eyes, oh yeah I can completely trust that guy with my life! *sarcasm*

I see your point. Why people criticize things so quickly (before the story arc even unflolds) is unfair to the people who slave to finish those deadlines and come up with those new concepts and ideas.

If they don't like it right out of the gate and are so quick to judge, then let those 500 petioners make their own blasted comic!

As for me, I am going to give it a chance like I do everything else (except canabalism...and punching the homeless.)

Good for you.  They can't prove you sleep-murdered those people anyways. xD

On topic:

You got to also look at it from the writer's point of view.  While many of these well established characters are fan favorites, a lot of people lately have been complaining they do not like the portrayal Archie Comics' has been doing with them.  So why bother to bring them back, when presenting a new character who has no limitations is so much easier.

Fans have to realize characters are going to do things they don't like.  My big example is the whole "Doc Octopus becoming the New Spider-Man" thing Marvel did.  I don't like it.  I think it ruins both the characters of Ock and Spidey.  But that doesn't mean it's permanent, nor does it mean the comic is now gonna die.  I've gotta let the arc take its course.  Who knows, maybe the payoff will be big.

That's what I hope Archie has planned, a bit rescue arc to bring back the Echidnas.

614 signatures out of an initial target goal of 500. Let's see how much further this can go.

Like anyone is going to listen to an internet petition that has 614 signatures.

'Star Wars' is my story, just like my house is my house. So if I wanna paint my house green, even if everyone else thinks it should be red, guess what? I'm gonna paint it Jar Jar! - George Lucas

"The Devil Inside is the new scam from director William Something Something. The movie stars actors and was edited on a computer. Somewhere. This movie is the latest film in a series of very low budget films designed to look like real movies! And be released in theaters to make a quick buck via a horribly off kilter budget to profit ratio that the general public seem to be stupidly unaware of! These films use to be called 'direct to video' but now they are called 'first run features'. These films then vanish from the theaters, like a rapist leaving the scene of a crime." - Mike Stoklasa of RedLetterMedia

Honestly I doubt that covers even one tenth of the comic's subscribers.

Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news but even if they reach their goal of signatures, Archie doesn't HAVE to even acknowledge the existence of the project.

I'm not trying to be critical about people trying, but honestly I find this a wasted effort (specifically since their most recent signer was "Dick Butt" from Austin Texas) because 1) Their numbers are very few, 2) If SEGA has made certain requirements that Archie might not be able to refuse regardless of fans demands, and 3) We're still barely seeing the new changes, and while we likely won't see the Penders characters back, there are plenty of changes we could still see that are good.

Uhhhhh, what "Project"?

Change.org eventually removes the fake signatures if they cannot verify them. And as for your numbered entries.

1) 732 now. Sure, they will REALLY listen to their wallets, but this is to ensure that the wrong message is not sent. Even today it grew a little faster than I thought.

2) I don't think this has too much to do with that.

3) It's just to get the lost characters back. There may be a few good changes in this new universe (even though I highly doubt that), but that's not what this is about. What about when this new "Shattered World" arc concludes and everyone tries to restore everything and the multiverse returns. Why can't this new universe be part of the multiverse after it returns?
