Joker stands in front of the board of directors, behind him is a power-point projection of Affleck's mug-shot : "It's simple...we kill the Batman franchise."

I'm just jokin'. He might do well (or we might get another flub of BatClooney porportions
). As long as ole Bat-nipples Mcshoemaker stays a light year away from the project's director's chair, I'm hesitantly cool with it. Like two-face's coin this choice could go either way.
I'll cross my fingers.

Since I wasn't a big fan of the Nolan Batman Trilogy (Not to say I didn't like them, but they're only Okay in my book) I'm not too concerned.
Normally I would be considering what a big Batman Fan I am, but only so many of us get the chance to be Batman in a movie. Let's see what he can do before we pass judgement.
And then pass Judgement harshly as needed.

This isn't comparable to the Michael Keaton thing at all. Y'know why? Because Ben Affleck is boring. Michael Keaton was cast because he's not boring.

It is kinda comparable actually. Back when it was announced Michael Keaton was gonna be Batman, there was a lot of fan rage about it. Why? Because Keaton was mainly known as a comedy actor and people thought he wouldn't be able to pull off playing Batman and a lot of folks felt that way until they actually saw the movie and realise that Keaton could play other things besides comedy.
Now Affleck is pretty boring, most of the time, mainly when he is playing Big McLarge Huge heroes. There are a couple of movies here or there he was in where he was pretty damn good. I think Hollywoodland is a prime example of Affleck being really good in a movie and he also plays jerks and assholes pretty well too.
Perhaps the same can be said for Affleck in the Batman role. We've yet to see him actually play the character, so rather then say "He'll be a shitty Batman!", let's wait and see him play that "shitty" Batman, because that shitty Batman might not come out.

Who gives a fuck?
They should've waited much longer to do this.
Because Nick Fury, Agent Coulson, and Tony Stark appearing in nearly all the movies building up to the Avengers was "too soon".
It's the same idea. Supposedly Batman will appear in nearly every "Justice League" build up Movie.

I know, but I'm talking about Batman. They should've waited a while to bring him back.
That's what I'm saying too. They're trying something new. Just don't worry 'bout it.
Also, in all honesty it's because Man of Steel didn't do as good as they wanted it to. Their hoping adding Batman will bring more money in the next one.

Actually Man of Steel did better than what some experts expected

I think I'm okay with this. Christian Bale was no fun whatsoever, has that gross wart by his eye that would have given away his identity to anyone with a brain, and the worst Batman voice I've ever heard in my life.

I find that news extremely weird, because I know him best as Hal from Malcolm in the Middle.
Dude, he's also from the hit TV series "Breaking Bad"... did you somehow watch that show?

No argument there (although somehow I never noticed the wart). Affleck might well not be any worse, but I don't think he'd be any better either.
The only film of the trilogy I've seen is TDK, and I think the only good thing about it was Heath Ledger as The Joker (but that alone still made it worth it). I'm not one of those guys putting him on a pedastal just 'cause he's dead, either, 'cause I walked into that movie all ready to hate him and his performance. I changed my mind as soon as I saw his pencil trick...
And I'm sure someone is thinking, "Well, if you changed your mind about Ledger once you saw him in action, why couldn't you change your mind about Affleck?" Because Affleck has a long track record, that's why, none of which impresses me. Because Affleck is so overexposed that audiences will see the actor and not the character (which may not be so bad if the actor has the talent to back it up, but I'm not convinced Affleck has talent). Because Affleck has already tried to be a superhero and failed miserably. What on earth does Affleck have going for him?

Hey guys, wouldn't it be cool if Batman was the new Ben Affleck? Imagine the shenanigans!
