Here's a question that I thought I'd throw out there:
In the Sonic universe how would our animalesque sayings be taken, i.e. "crazy like a fox," "an elephant never forgets," "chicken," "meaner than a snake," "squirrely," "foxy lady," or even "The Hedgehog's Dilemma."
Since these are more or less based on stereotypes of said animals, I believe they would be taken as racist terms. Wot does everyone else think?
Well, there was Bunnie's infamous line from SatAM: "Nasty as a one-eyed snake, sugar."
If sayings like those are considered racist (or in this case, speciesist) amongst Mobian folk, that line of dialogue reveals a whole new side to Bunnie's personality that we've never seen before. Considering she was raised in the Southern Boundaries, I wouldn't be surprised.
