We will make them all green, and make countless classic fans mad. ![]()
Do you guys agree the proportions could use work as well (three heads tall)? I'd depict them at least with five-space head-proportion? In EoT it does Marvel-Rules (think X-men, Iron Man, Ect) with heroic/idealic proportions (six heads).

Hm...
Five heads tall.
Which is pretty good for females of Sally's build.

This is what Sally has to look forward to every time she gets dress/undressed/bathes (this face and expression through the window
).
I'm still working on EoT Sal. But since she's around 19 and gone through a lot, I plan to change up her hair-style and outfit to show evidence of that.
I like the jacket. And I'm a sucker for fingerless gloves.

I let this sketch do the talking for me.

Again, about five heads tall.
I think the knee-pads a re nice touch. She would be in combat after all.

I truthfully prefer the whole cute little cartoon proportioning with big heads and matchstick limbs, the taller, bulkier structure used in the comics I think mostly led to the whole humanoid proportioning that I think led to Sally and Bunnie's whole feminine issues with many fans. I think Sally only came off a bit odd because her hands and feet weren't made any larger than her arms and legs, making them look ridiculously small and frail. Something maybe slightly smaller than Sonic's would have looked fine while keeping some amount of femininity to her.
I kinda like how Tazi San designs Sally, which has the same cartoony SEGA sizes but evens out her proportioning a bit more:

I figure Freedom Fighters would have special equipment for certain missions.

I love Tazi San's work. She does fix a lot of the proportion problems.

If it were up to me Sonic would look something like this (http://swirlything.deviantart.com/)
It took me a couple of seconds, but yeah, I like it. I really like that he has two separate eyes and his muzzle.

I prefer the seperate eyes a lot.

I don't. I like the Combined Eyes look as it was a Uniquely Sonic trait.
While the design looks good I prefer the official design.

Cool redesign though. It's like he stepped out of the "Sly Cooper" universe.

Had Sonic been depicted like that in SatAM, he wouldn't have looked so out-of-place.

It does.....it really does.

Hmm Sally maybe looks a tad bulky in that Game Guy shot, as said I prefer her more matchstick proportions since it helps fit her better with Sonic and avoids punctuating her 'nakedness', just make the hands and feet look less shrunken. Granted I kinda think she looks okay with Uekawa's 'rubber hose' body proportions in the comics (it's more the facial proportioning I think looks off).

Just a personal preference, but I have always liked her more curvacious feminine look. Not really the one from the issue 90-150 in the comics, but I personally like her SatAM appearance especially when they got her proportions better like from The Secret Scrolls and Game Guy episodes. Issue 20 to about 70 in Archie and 180 to 230 when Tracy Yardly drew her, again with her more feminine curves accentuated. I'm still can't wait to see his take on the new Sally design.
I really could give crap at what the haters say about her; they could go as far as to put her in a burkha and they wouldn't be satisfied. The bottom line is they will just find another reason to hate her.
Exactly! I like a feminine Sally. I am an artist and view this from a platonic, astectic point of view. I won't apologize for that: woman should look like woman, no matter the rating of the comic. Mind, not the busty and whorey effigies that pander to the...two-dimensional, sexist, exploits and tastes of a certain select group of perverted people (egocentric escapists or the rankest sort). *Cough* Rouge the Bat *cough*. What I'm getting at is the graceful, soft-shaped, and real look of a woman. That doesn't have to be overtly sexual, not at all; in fact, it ought not if you respect womanhood. If you can't celebrate feminimty and maternality, a unique and special part of Creation, then you are either a prude or a secretly repressive perv who can only see woman, and their physique, for just that (like most people who squeeze woman in Burkhas: seriously guys, I got eye-witness stories from the front...). Bottom line: Sally should be cute, easy on the eyes. Perverts are going to be perverts, let them screw their life up, forever-alone style in their parent's basement. I for one am not going to despise a female character for being female, especially because some might abuse feminimity.
Geez, though, you think poor Sally would wear only Burkha's after all the men who have made a nasty pass at her... (some of them a bit...bilogically disperate for comfort
). Then, there's the opposite group you mentioned...oh gosh, we sane people are stuck between prudish rock and a pervs hard place (that sounded bad :/).
