Some animals evolved, some didn't. What's wrong with a Mobian having a pet? Heck, even some people have monkeys as pets, which are a lot closer to us that Muttski is to Sonic or Chuck.

See i could never have seen Muttski be a Mobian, i always liked how he was that one animal that wasnt anamorphic in any way. It showed that not all animals became anamorphic.
Seeing him like this make me.... just no.
It could be just the shock of seeing this but this one i dont approve. At all. For now
In all honesty, for me, it was weird when Muttski was a regular dog in the first place. In a world of anthro animals, seeing Muttski in satAM and the comics was kinda jarring. It Doesn't do that much harm either. It's not like Muttski was a very important character in the first place. I like this change. It gives Muttski more of a character.

Simply pathetic. Hopefully more and more people will start to look for alternative works like Sea3on as they realize that whatever spirit of classic Western continuity the comic was holding has been systematically stamped out over the past year. Further stories based on that golden era will have to come from us, the fans, a group that, though ever lambasted and ridiculed, remains unbound by corporate shackles, free to pursue narrative for its own sake rather than use it as a means of profiting off of the lowest common denominator.

I understand with SEGA wanting things to be more uniform, but Mobius is Iconic to the comic... and Flynn didnt need to be an ass about it either

On the topic of the name change, I kinda saw this one coming. It was only matter of time before Sega would notice and take issue with it. But if I could find a slight loophole to the whole mandate, I would've named the homeland which Mobotropolis was built on "Mobius" while still taking place on the planet "Earth" or whatever they're calling it.

I'm sure he's been getting a hard time about it for a while now. Honestly I've seen Chief pull meaner stuff out of his butt than this. Out of context, yes, Flynn seems like a total jerk here, but if you read the information I don't think this is the first time somebody had bothered him about it.

It's not about how you're expecting it to happen, it's about who's really in charge of all these changes. This "major backlash" shouldn't be directed towards him.

So? Should we really blame him for doing his job? Even if you read a lot of Flynn's older stuff, before Archie, Flynn was a lore nut. I don't think he likes these changes any more than the rest of us. He's just salvaging what he can. Should we really blame him for making the changes when he was told to?

But it shouldn't be, because the changes aren't his fault. SEGA mandates and the Ken Penders lawsuit are the reason for these changes.
