Avoiding the subject of the hideous cover artwork that looks like DeviantArt's throw up, I will say now that some opinions of mine have changed. Nicole's design looks much better than I initially interpreted it, however Ant looks extremely awkward.

The timing of the crossover was terrible as well
No kidding...
Worse yet, it appears the whole Mecha Sally arc was never resolved either, just swept under the rug for this pathetic retcon Genesis wave crap.
Yea, how exactly was this story well written again? Oh wait...

Normally I'd agree that I would like to see the solution, but considering how long it has gone on and stuff, I'm just gonna be happy it's over.

It wasn't just the timing of the crossover, it was everything else that happened. The Penders lawsuit made things even worse. All the stories Ian had planned were either scrapped or altered heavily. As a result, the plots went nowhere and had little payoff.

It's the variant cover. Only the collectors and those unfortunate enough to buy it when it's the only cover left will be saying that.

I agree. I was once reading every new issue of the comic....until the Mega man crossover. I have nothing agaisnt Megaman, it's just that i'm not interest by this franchise. Because of this, i didn't bother to look at any of the crossover issue. So, i can't say if this crossover is good or not, but since it will no longer matter after it's over...so why should i care?
The issue 243 was the last awesome issue in my book. Awesome action moment, we see some old good character again (Remington, Lien-Da, even the Knuckles family is here) and give us the chance to see the fate of the echidna people......then come the following issue: 244, in which Julie-Su dissapear from the cover, then every echidna as well and all of that is told through a bunch of vague flashback....What a mess 
If my english can look like crap, don't kill me...please? French is my native language!

My concern isn't the cover itself, it's the horrid designs. Since when does Rotor have legs like that??

In my opinion Bunny, Rotor, and even Antoine and co. were okay on the normal covers, but this is crap... heck even Sonic at Tails don't look right on this cover! I hope the ones from the normal covers are the real redesigns.

Honestly I wasn't sure when the whole Penders Case came to light that SEGA wouldn't pull the plug. However since they didn't, I don't think this is the end of Archie Comics yet. Also remember we're only one side of the fan base. Most of our opinions are the same, but I bet if you look at Flynn's Forum you'd find more people approving the design.

I don't argue that. But I've even seen people on Deviant Art who approve the new designs, and not all of them are the Strictly SEGA fans.

True, and I not totally against them either; all we've had at this point are covers and blurry little concept shots to go by. I'll wait until they are properly revealed to make my final decision; if I like what he does I might become a subscriber, who knows. I mean, it's nice that they are still 'alive' officially in the comic, but for me The Freedom Fighters will always be the ones from SatAM and Archie and Sega will never change that no matter what they do to them or ignore them.

No, Ian allows people to speak their opinions on his forums as long as they're civil and well-mannored. Anyone caught using harsh words, offensive slurrs, bashing, or bring up inappropriate topics are ones who are silenced.

I see...Having not seen the crossover at all (and i mean: at all), i wasn't expecting these event to last long. The reason why is because since this is 2 totally different universe, i wasn't expecting either Sega or Capcom to allow to keep anything in the other comic after the crossover would be over.
