@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Well the Fall anime Season is off to a awesome start. Lots of great shows including that second season of Ef, Ef - A tail of melodies. Anyways Lets start off:

Ef - A Tail Of Melodies

Well first episode was awesome. A bit of a flash back to see 2 of the characters pasts. Those who remember the first season will remember these 2 characters had minor roles, however by the way this season is heading that might be set to change. Now not much to be said on this other then I'm happy the second season has started. And Shaft has outdone them selfs yet again on the show. Really well done animation and they are really showing off their mad animation skillz!
On another note the show is already starting off a bunch of questions, and I'm not expecting anything major to happen in till about the half way mark. The first season didn't scratch the surface in till about that halfway mark so I expect the same here. But all in all first episode was amazing.

Akane iro ni Somaru Saka

Now I really don't have much to say on this show. One episode in and from what I can tell it should be good. I'm not completly sure of the plot yet, however it has that nice comedy serious level I like. And it was balanced out quite well in this first episode... So... Its on my watch list. I reccomend giving it a quick look if you got 20 minutes to kill, you might end up following it like me.

Toradora

Now this is just awesome. The main female character is the same voice actor for the main female in Zero no Tsukaima, and Shakugan no Shana.. And they drew her almost exactly the same... Just change the hair colour in the shows and you got her. And from what I can tell the personalities are all the same too.. Maybe thats why I think I will like this show. I think the group they are after are those who liked Shana and Zero... Ah well... Not much to say but I'm already a fan of this show... Just awesome from the start, much like its "sisters".

Kannagi

Ok this show starts off with a guy carving a pretty girl out of a log.. But oh no wait! the carving turns into a real girl! Who is a god! Who hates spiders!....

Ok that just sounds horrid.. But I swear the first episode is so much better then how it sounds... If its not you can... call me a liar. But I swear.. good show... Now go watch... Yes.

Ga rei Zero

Stars off with a bang! A government group who kills demons.. Awesome. First episode is full of action, lots of music, guns, people burning, and all the main characters getting killed.. Wait what? o_O

Needless to say I'm kinda curious on how that second episode will go.

Ratty's Manga Metalness

Installment the 3rd.

RIKI-OH

Riki-Oh is a manga with a lot to say. As mankind moves further into the 21st century, are people, particularly those we deem “unfit” such as prisoners and the poor, viewed more as disposable commodities than an- ooh HOLY SHIT did that dude just cut himself open and try to strangle that other dude with his own intestines!?!

...Yes, yes he did.
[spoiler:1ed1rsjs][/spoiler]
To be honest I was first introduced to Riki-Oh through the cinematic opus which bares it’s name ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnhLtB3n25c ) and was expecting something along the same lines, namely a mindlessly gory and violent kung-fu action story, but was surprised to find it had been quite altered in several respects for the film, so instead I got a mindlessly gory and violent kung-fu action story ~with a message~. In fact I agree with much of what it has to say, about the devaluing and usage as tools of human beings by an increasingly impersonal “If I don‘t see it it‘s not happening” society, environmental dangers we face from our own folly/greed, and other basic injustices. However when your protagonist regularly ends fights by punching holes through 2 or 3 times larger enemies stomachs, one needs to take things with a wry grin at the least.

Tonight

On a very special Episode of Riki-Oh

Riki’s past and destiny are shrouded in mystery, but to give you the set up- When we meet the young man he is in prison serving a 3 year sentence for assaulting a gang leader, with 5 bullets lodged in his chest (but no marks I can see) he possessed a strength the world had never seen before, a strength matched only by the-- oh sorry it’s the hair throwing me off. He’s basically summed up in the tagline of the series

Riki-Oh, possibly the second most Metal Manga you will ever see.

(MSpaint, for great Irony! Er, Justice, yeah one of those two.)

Oh, and while our hero has a star of David on his right hand- that’s right, the mysterious baddie has a swastika. …yeeeaaahhh.
But at any rate, Riki-Oh is described in his police file as an incredibly strong prisoner with any equally violent nature so, when he begins to challenge the prison’s established, and very violent, system of rule via 4 “Special” prisoners dubbed the 4 Emperors, who keep the rest of the prisoners in their respective wings of the prison in line, things are bound to get messy. Who is Riki? Where did he come from and why is here (and perhaps most intriguingly, where is he going)? The action is decently handled if you like over the top gory fight scenes, and the story draws itself out surprisingly well, if it’s goofy and ridiculous at the least it’s entertaining and sincere in it’s presentation, the story it’s trying to tell, and the message it‘s trying to convey. He’s like the thinking, very very angry and violent man’s Goku.

At the end of the day, Riki-Oh worth a read if you’re a kung-fu fan who doesn’t mind (or likes) a little bit of blood gore’n message and above-average-for-the-genera story mixed in with his fights.

I give it a solid 3 Shoryukenh(ing Kens) out of 4.

"I really think of life as a great expression of joy. And if you take yourself seriously you're going to be defeated I'm afraid.
...Maybe that is the whole recipe of life, is to be in on the joke. Because life is a joke and if you're not in on it you're out.
But if you're in on it, you can make it." - Vincent Price

"What have you got to lose? You know you come from nothing you're going back to nothing. What have you lost? Nothing!"
- Eric Idle

With a few more shows jumping out for the fall season I have already realized that this season should be a good one. At least a lot better then the spring season where only a hand full of shows were worth while.

Kuroshitsuji

So this so far is a straight foreword show.. Main character is a butler who can do any task yadda yadda..Uhm... not much to go by on the first episode but it was a good one. My favorite character is that short old butler off to the side... he does shit all, and no one expects anything other then that. When I'm old I hope I can be that useless that no one cares.

Chaos; Head

I wanted to meet you too girl covered in blood... Well Ive only seen this first episode and I'm not quite sure what to think. At parts it was kinda annoying... But over all it seemed good... And I want to know whats up with the bloody chick.

Hyakko

2 episodes down of this lovely show. Now so far it reminds me a lot of School Rumble and Azumanga Daioh... And you can't go wrong with that. I wish I could tell you more about the plots of these shows but from only watching a few episodes in etc I can only say "hey, go to http://www.animetake.com/ and get these shows". From what I can tell you about Hyakko is that the show centers its self around those 4 girls and their school life. Boring? Hell no.. quite exciting episodes so far.

Tsubasa Chronicle

I wasn't expecting much from this.... But. Its awesome! Thats it... I'm up to episode 16 and I love it. Thank you TitaniumForce.. I will do a full review when I'm done both seasons and the Ova but for now... God damn what a good show. To be honest I saw the plot and was like "nyeh.....!" Then about 3 minutes into the first episode I was thinking "oh god... Why!?" Then after a few more minutes I was at the edge of my seat going "wtf? Awesome! No No dont do that! Oh god the action... ahh" Uhm... Yea good show. Again I'll do a full review on it but... Honestly if you havent seen it... Watch it. I mean it. By far one of the best shows I have seen.

Tsubasa Chronicle

...And with these words the Journey starts. As I said in the previous post regarding Tsubasa Chronicle I wasn't expecting much to come of the series. However It is indeed a GREAT show.
Well to start off with the show is pretty much about a Princess who looses her memories in "feathers" and her, her childhood friend, some tough ass, and a smart ass start their journey to get them back. Of course tough ass and smart ass both have a different agenda but... it involves going on the same journey.

Ok so Every 3 or 4 episodes you jump from Arc to Arc.. sometimes less sometimes more. And I first thought this could get repetitive.. But it really doesn't. I mean.. Because they go to these different worlds you see a lot of cultures, people and so on. So really its not that repetitive.. Always something different. Well...Minus that some characters appear in quite a few worlds. But that's cause uhm... Well.. "Sliders Theory" for anyone who watched that show. If not... watch that too.

Now although I loved Tsubasa Chronicle it was not without its faults. The first one being the Tsubasa Chronicle Movie:

Tsubasa Chronicle the Movie: The Princess of the Country of Birdcages

Well.. Ok first off why is it called a Movie when its only a slightly longer episode with better animation. I mean.. Its 34 minutes and 30 seconds long. A normal episode is 26 minutes..
It was just too rushed. The plot was such a good plot too I kinda felt sad for the movie in a way. I mean.. It could have been so Awesome if it was longer. I found myself at parts thinking I missed huge plot details because of how much it jumped around. I actually had to double check online that I didn't have some shortened cut of it. I mean If you watch the series watch the movie after Season 1.. It doesn't tie into anything but you should still watch it. No matter what I say of how it was rushed etc. Just... Well.. Don't think that you got a shit version if it jumps around really fast. Its suppose to be like that.

Uhm... Ok Season 2. Well... Lets start with the start of Season 2..

So yea. I didn't like the first arc of season 2. Some weird future flying race to win the "feather". Uhm... It just wasn't that good. Too long too.. If it was only 1 episode I could have been ok with it but... 3 was a bit much. None the less after this first Arc the show seemed to jump back into its awesomeness.

Season 2 was going along fine in till one moment where I was kinda WTF? Fuck off.. Uhm.. Well:

The flying bear shows up. And if you think he looks familiar you are right... He is from....

Cardcaptor Sakura! Yea I'm not even shitting. They tossed in the flying thing. I know they are made by the same company but honestly...
Ok so a few things they shared. Uhm.. Well I haven't watched anything more then bits and pieces of Cardcaptors on TV they seem to share things now and then. Like... Well Main characters have the same name and seem to look quite similar.. uh.. other..things. Yea maybe after I watch . IF I watch Cardcaptors ever I might draw up some comparisons between the two.. OK so flying teddy bear Yay!

Uhm..

What else... Ok well second season ended quite well. Made me hope for a third season but who knows..

But instead of another Season I still had a 3 part Ova to watch. So lets get on that

Tsubasa Tokyo revelations

That looks like it would hurt..

Ok well this is a 3 episode OVA that finished early this year. And man.. It is good. Good animation, good story line.. good... Just Good. I'm not really sure what to say about it to be honest. They end up in a Tokyo that has been messed up by acid rain etc etc... Water is all important.. yaddy yadda. BUT it clears up a lot of questions made through the series.. Mind you it makes new ones too but whatever. So We finally get to see who that buddy is trapped in that water tank with the missing eye.. Which is... Well that will mess you up for the show. You start thinking back to everything and its just messed. But good...

So there is another OVA comming out sometime early next year and I can't wait to be honest. I'm glad that TitaniumForce told me about this show... And although I have my MASSIVE doubts about how you also said Cardcaptors... Uh.. I'll give it a shot man. I had my doubts about this one too but obviously got proved wrong..So yea, I'll give it a shot. It defintly can't be any worse then KoiKoi 7..

Speaking of KoiKoi 7...

KoiKoi 7

Just.. Dont watch this. I'm at episode 6 and I can't drag myself through it any longer. The first episode was ok.. I mean it was interesting.. Could be a good comedy.. But it turned out the show was honestly made for those fucks who have no life and Jerk off to anime school girls and big robots. Cause I'm sure that's all this show is about. I quickly tossed aside whatever plot I thought it might have and just.. Wanted to shoot myself. The only thing that kept me going to episode 6 was this guy:

A masked dude running around stealing girls school uniforms with a vacume on his back... I got to admit I laughed at this. But sadly this guy was done by episode 3. And my wait for another maybe semi funny thing 3 episodes later did not come.

What I can tell you is if you want some mild nudity, school girls, big robots, and whatever else... Oh and you have no life what so ever and no chance on ever getting a girl... You still might hate this show..

I mean its a waste.. Just get a fucking Hentai or something if you want to jerk your lonely self to sleep.

Toaru Majutsu no Index

4 Episodes into the show and I finally decided to try it out. Again when I first saw this show out on http://www.animetake.com/ I wasn't that interested in it from the plot I read... But again Ive been proved wrong.. Watched the 4 episodes that are curently out yesterday yadda yadda Its good. A lot better then I thought it would be... I swear the people who write out these plot descriptions on some of these sites do it in the most boring way...

Correction, Cardcaptor Sakura (or in this case "Cardcaptors") was dubbed by Nelvana, not 4kids. I understand how someone could make the connection though.

Also, keep up the good work Chief. I haven't been able to watch a lot of anything this season (or last season as a matter of fact) so it's good to read someone else's opinion to see if I'm missing out on anything or not. However I am gonna give Tytania a go and see how that is.

Jigoku Shoujo

Ok so I started to watch Jigoku Shoujo which is the first season out of 3. Second season is Jigoku Shoujo Futakomori and third which is airing now is Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae.

Now so far from what I can tell the first season is a bunch of short stories. To sum things up a website opens up at the stroke of midnight and if you type in someones name it will take revenge on your behalf. A girl named Ai Enma gives them a black straw doll of sorts with a red string around the neck. You take off the red string and the person you want revenge on will be brought to hell (some cool stuff happens scarin the person receving revenge the they end up on a bot to hell...)

Uhm.. Its a nifty series so far. It was getting kinda repetitive. You know.. person gets treated like shit, they get doll, pull red string, person goes to hell... Oh yea only problem with this deal is after the person who requested the revenge dies they go to hell too..

Anyways, after.. ep 7 or 8 i think the show starts to develop a somewhat plot.. finally. A reporter and his daughter (from what i can tell his daughter can see visions of where Ai Enma and her groupies are) and her father is trying to find her cover a story, stop her etc etc..

As I'm not really that far into the reporter and daughter yet I can;t exactly say their main goal or whats going on for sure. And I do hope the repetitiveness of the show does go away a bit more. From what Ive heard season 2 and 3 follow a actual story and not just short stories cramped together.. Which will be nice. I am sick of seeing someone get mad and send another person to hell every fucking episode. And its pretty much the same shit too. I mean the scene where they are tortured to confess their sins are cool.. But after that it does this whole boat in river scene going under a gate.. And you might as well skip that.

But anyways... I'm going to keep up with this show for now. As I said it is starting to get a plot.. Or.. story or something into it so.. Maybe it will be awesome.

Itazura na Kiss

So I watched this show a few weeks back, just never got around to tossing a review up. Well.. It was a good show. I think a bit rushed at times as they cover a 10 year period in 25 episodes.. 24 really. The 25th is sort of a extra.. But still good.

The story is simple really.. Girl belongs to dumb class, guy belongs to smart class, and she likes him. So she confesses he says "bugger off" then she goes home all sad. But then! her house collapses from a earthquake.. So her dad says "Lets move in with a friend of mine" who happens to be smart kids house!

Yea ok that sounds just stupid. But its a good show about the two of them and life. And how he eventually falls for her etc etc... Uhm... Well there isn't really much to discuss other then that The plot is fairly straight foreword. You know pretty much exactly what will happen at any time... But its still a nice watch.

I hope its alright if I can at least post my two cents in this as well. I'm not too big a fan of anime, since I'm way more into manga than anime. After all, most anime is derived from a manga series.

I recently have been diving into the seinen demographic alot lately, and I have to say that I'm really hooked on it alot more than the shounen demographic as of lately.

I have been reading these two titles these past couple weeks, and would like to share my thoughts on each series.

So... let me kick off:

Rave's Manga Choice Review.

So long as Chief allows it though. =P

First off..

Solanin

This is one of those series that is somewhat like a "slice of life", which pretty much can be very inspirational, if you allow it to be seen that way. Its moreso about a group of college graduates, just like everyone else, who are pretty much trying to find that special place of happiness for them, when they've gone and stumbled across one of those road blocks in life that pretty much seems to give them a rather hard time. The artwork is pretty good in a sense that at least captures some pretty good expressions, and has a really good perspective of one's thoughts too in the series.

Viz is selling the entire series in one novel book, so when you have the chance to get to it, give it a read.

Another series, which is probably by far, one of my most favorites after reading into the first couple of chapters, and immediately fell in love with it.

Me and the Devil Blues: The Unreal Life of Robert Johnson.

Any blues fan should at least know the interesting story of Robert Johnson, the man who supposedly sold his soul to the devil to be an incredibly great blues player. Infact, this story is pretty much based off of him, pretty much just assuming what his life was like. The story pretty much focuses mainly on him, in the time of the 1920's, where he pretty much tries to be a blues player, but eventually sells his soul along the way to play.

This is one of those manga series, that you end up learning to love, and is pretty much one of those that actually separates itself from the rest that you normally see mainstream these days. The story is really an interesting read, which makes it rather hard to keep put down the book. And the art, is absolutely gorgeous. Most pages that I have flipped thru in this series, has me just jaw dropping in awe at how incredibly awesome and detailed that art turned out. If I was asked what manga series to recommend first that isn't shounen, this series is definitely my first recommendation.

My reviews may be a bit dry, but I ask that you all at least bare with me on this, and at least give these series a minute of your time while you have the chance. So yeah... that's about it for now.

I may end up reviewing Vertical's Black Jack, and Viz's Phoenix next. Both Tezuka series.

Jigoku Shoujo

Ok well as I had previously said this show was a bunch of short stories and such on. Quite interesting but also quite repetitive. It took almost half of the first season to develop any kind of structure besides;

"people have bad life, log into "hell site" type persons name in for revenge.. Then Girl goes out from 'hell' and kills em."

Ok so there is a bit more to it then that.. However... Not really. About half way through the first season a detective shows up with his daughter.. Or "Daughter" They kinda god a odd thing going on (no nothing sexual Shadow! Yea I'm looking at you). And they pretty much try to track down "Hell Girl" to get her to stop killing and sending people to hell.

Sadly on episode 20 of 24 or 26 I gave up. I know apparently the next 2 seasons don't do as much as a repetitive thing, and they are apparently good but fuck.. I just couldn't keep up with it. I found it being almost a choir to sit through and watch a episode. So.. I'm sorry if any of you are fans of the Jigoku Shoujo series.. But kudos to you if you can sit through a repetitive thing like this.

EF - A Tale of Melodies

So I'm up to episode 6 of this WONDERFUL show. Now I figured it would take a bit to get into the show and start to find out whats really going on. And well... This show shoved everything right in front of you (at least for one of the arcs). Again SHAFT has outdone their self's on graphics to show the rest of the animation companies that they can prove they got mad skillz. Just.. It doesn't even get annoying how much the screen changes in one of its effects. Its.. Hard to explain how they do it but honestly just watch one episode and you will understand.

As I've mentioned this site a lot of times however http://www.animetake.com/ is the best place to find up to date and new released episodes in Torrents and sometimes Direct Download.

Anyways, I look foreword to the next 6 episodes of this show.

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei

So speaking of SHAFT here is another one of their works. They tossed in the same crazy ass effects but this time instead of a drama, romance, very serious show like both Ef's. They... Made a comedy. And a bloody funny comedy at that. I'm almost done the show and.. Its just great. Its a very fast comedy, so if you are the dumb type that takes you to 5 minutes to see what was said was a joke.. You shouldn't watch. Its a fast comedy, smart humor, and all in all just good. Its randomness, madness, and quick witted humor fits together so well and actually creating a good story line to follow.

To simply sum parts up get a class room and fill it with a suicidal teacher who thinks nothing is worth living, a girl who thinks nothing is bad and everything is worth living, a girl who hides in a blanket and under a desk or..other places, a stalker, a bossy person, a american girl panty shower who is ready to sue and the moments notice, a illigal mexican imagrant who bought her ID from a student, and a few others.

This show is great.. And with its mess of..Well everything.. They fit it together quite well.

So onto a show I watched some time ago, and ended up re watching.. Uhm..

Shingetsutan Tsukihime

So here we go,

Some of you may remember this show as actually a game.. And those who played the game first before watching this anime hated the anime. Apparently the anime didn't capture the game completely and just left out so much. However as I haven't played the game I will say the anime was quite good. Its a dark anime about vampires.. Thing is its not your normal "oh no vapire" show.. As the actual vampire part is really only a small part of the show. The main male character is a high school student from a rich family. However up in till his fathers death he was living with relatives. Uhm... Well anyways the main male character, Shiki, since he was young could see lines through everything... these lines are the "weak points" of the object. Pretty much meaning if he breaks those lines the thing breaks apart.

Now the main female is actually a "type 1" vampire herself. Pretty much meaning she is one of the original vampires, who can somehow go out in day do yadda yadda what she wants etc. She is trying to kill certain type 1s and type 2s who are... well killing everyone.

Now ok that plot seems like a average vampire slayer type thing but there is a lot more to the show then just that. To be honest it would be hard to explain everything that goes on in the show in a short review.

None the less Id say give it a shot. Its not a comedy... Its a serious dark show.. And that's what I like about it.

Macademi WAsshoi

Ok well... this one is being released kinda slow.. But.. Its not that good. 4 episodes in and... To be honest I dunno why I'm still watching it. I mean.. It has its moments I'll admit that but ugh... 4 episodes in and I keep hoping for something better. I'm quit sure I'll end up dropping this show in the next episode or two in less it does a complete 180.

Ah, excellent. You reviewed the Tsukihime anime. I had the pleasure of listening to the soundtrack to the show and it's definitely some excellent stuff. I'm also one of those people who played the game and enjoyed it a lot. There are some scenes in the anime I didn't agree with (such as the truncated fight with Nrvnqsr (Nero) Chaos) but the whole "There is no Tsukihime anime" internet meme is a bit silly I think.

^ Hovever, the manga is something I recommend. It takes the game scenarios and the anime and mixes them together quite well.
Previously known as Bleak Oblivion and then i ate him lol

alright. i have several anime series that i consider quite interesting, and most are quite old (read: BEFORE 1995!), but enjoyable.

This is my first review on an anime series, so i thought i'd go for one i watched in 5 days, from start to finish. My review is on....

Hyper Police

Set in the 22nd Century (The "holy century"), where humans are an endangered species, and monsters have taken over the world, there are privately-licensed bounty hunters and police companies in Shinjuku, the city of the beasts.

I know what you guys are thinking... "not surprising... a FURRY anime..." or "well, of course foxcoon picked hyper police... the show caters to furs with its anthro cast members..." i want to point out before i go any further that it is NOT a furry anime. it is more of an anime that simply HAPPENS to have a couple furry characters in it. back to the review

anyway, the center of the story is Natsuke, a neko (cat-girl) living in Shinjuku. She works with her much older, and extremely horny werewolf partner, Batenen. Their jobs are to keep the peace and make sure that anyone harming or killing a human is arrested. I've noticed some minor differences in storyline between both teh Manga and the series, and in th eshow... between japanese and english languages. the japanese language of the show equals the manga, in that those that kill humans are castrated/sterilized, while in the english version of the show, criminals simply have their memories erased. Let's not forget one scene in the japanese language version of the show, where there's implied incest/homosexuality from a very horny batenan and his full-wolf cousin, Tomy, so this is definitely 16+.

Then, the homeless and impoverished kitsune woman Sakura comes into play. she wants to devour natsuke and obtain her powers so she can grow her full ninth tail (having just "eight and a little stub").

While Natsuke's voice can be whiney and unbearable (a la sailor moon) at times, it's still a good view. think of it as part inuyasha (slaying demons, time travel from the 1500s), and part sailor moon (teen life). The intro song "Hypertension" is catchy, too. The two-part ending was a bit ambiguous and open, but also resolved any loose ends.

Story: 80%
Graphics: 75%
Replay: 85%

It may not be an immediately recognizable name, like Tenchi Muyo, Sailor Moon, YuYu Hakusho, and others, but it's still worth a look for those anime fans that want something a little different.

Alright well I'm sure 90% of you will know this show. If you watched it, or liked it I dunno but... This is one I watched back in January/February...

Full Metal Alchemist

That's right... Ring asked me to do this one and I figured since I liked the show I might as well.

So to start off I'll say this show surprised me.. For something Ive heard to be a crap kids anime that was stupid, turned into a action filled, mysterious, and dark anime. If you are wondering how it gets those well... Keep reading.

To start off with the show follows around 2 brothers, Edward Elric And Alphonse Elric. They grew up in a small village with their mother. One day their mother dies and they decided to learn Alchemy to bring her back to life. This leads to why Edward lost 1 arm and 1 leg and why Alphonse lost... Everything. There is more detail to go into but I'm not writing a plot line I'm doing a review.
From there we jump into a military life for the two brothers and we start to understand a lot more of the world they live in. To be honest the show can get confusing if you don't pay attention to it, especially during certain flash backs that you need to remember for the series.
The Elric brothers go on a search for the philosophers stone which is said to be able to... pretty much do anything.. Like.. Bring their dead mother back to life.

Now Pretty much add in a a bunch of stories of them running around, finding information, bla bla bla got your adventure.

Next we got the Dark aspect of it... Can someone say Genocide? Yea, Genocide in a "little kids" show. One of the things you discover about the world in which the show takes place is the dark history of the military's past. Including certain main characters such as Roy Mustang. I'm not going to say much else other then Genocide, but trust me its enough to get you thinking of the dark areas of the show. And to me the show really takes off when it starts to toss out the military, and the complete destruction of a town. And like I said... If you don't follow the show almost exact you will miss parts. Just picture it as a puzzle and everything you hear adds a little piece or in some areas takes away a piece.
Next in the dark area we have a survivor of the genocide named Scar. He is out to get revenge for his people and can blow the fuck out of your head with his hand... Yea... He also plays a huge role so pay attention to the phyco.

What else do we have... Oh yea the Mystery part which is whats going on, who is who, who is a spy, who is bad, who did what, who killed who and when, how did that happen, why are we here, what are they, and so on... But seriously those are all questions that pop up in like every episode.

Uhm.. Next we have a mysterious group of people that are called Homunculi, they are really the main cause for all the crap the Elrics deal with. And their plan becomes very apparent as you continue the serries.

There is also a movie which is kinda odd... Pre WW2 Germany setting.. And nothing really to do with the series. However again... Everyone hating Jews, Genocide build up.. It fits.

All in all its hard to go into this show because..Its so complex. But it is by far one of the BEST anime's I have seen. As well as one of my first.

Now if you watch the show on TV chances are they edit out the blood etc from most parts so... Buy the DVD's or get it by other means.

QUOTE ("chief":4i1f8i9t)
I mean its a waste.. Just get a fucking Hentai or something if you want to jerk your lonely self to sleep.

Some of you may remember me saying this about the horrid show called KoiKoi 7. It was pretty much a Hentai without the title. So after doing some reading and one of my roommates telling me to review a actual Hentai for the fun of it and prove that its better then KoiKoi 7 in .. Not the sex part but the story line and plot.

Ugh... So I looked up some popular h titles and tried to find one with a story line that could beat KoiKoi 7. Ok uhm... This post will contain adult themes, although there will be NO NUDITY. So those of you sad fucks who saw a "Hentai" Review and got your joy stick ready to thrash... Go get a life and go somewhere else.

Sex Friends

I would give you a better picture but look how the main guy looks. Would you want to fuck that? Ok so I'm a guy but whatever. He is like one of the most Homley guys Ive seen drawin in Anime. Ok so plot... How to beat KoiKoi 7..

Well Sex friend doesn't have any Robots or guy stealing girl uniforms.. But it at least sticks to its plot... Yea ok so its plot was a girl who nails a guy in the nurse office and then the library girl wants in on the action, then the nurse.. er.. yea. Uhm... So I laughed more at this then KoiKoi 7. I mean it was fucking funny. In fact myself and Jodi (one of my roommates, the only girl one) watched it while eating popcorn and laughing. I don't know how some people get off to this stuff its bloody funny. And.. Ok Ive had sex many a time and... I'm not sure how its possible to be getting a blowjob and yet have your hands reach under her while you are standing and start to.. er yes.

Needless to say I failed during this attempt to find a decent plot line.

I didn't give up here! Oh no... I wanted a plot and story line and I was going to get it. And to be honest I think I found the best plot on my second try. And I'm glad it was my second try..

I Love You

Now... As much as this picture makes it look like a kinda decent show with cars hitting little girls etc.. Its still a bloody Hentai. Uhm... Plot... Ok I find this plot better then KoiKoi 7 and well... that doesn't say much.

Plot goes as;

The girl you see in the picture get hit by the car... well.. YOu see her blood spot at least. Anyways she dies. But her father a professor in some lab decides to clone her and re make her. But to do this he moves away and 14 years later they return. So main guy who thinks all girls are meat with a vag falls in love, finds out she is rapidly aging and goes into genetic engnering to reverse the aging thing. Of course add in pointless sex and whatever else, as well as some comedy and thats the show.

The plot is stupidly simple but it bloody beats KoiKoi 7 and that's what I was going for. So now I can say instead of wasting your time watching KoiKoi 7 looking for those boob scenes just watch this. More nudity, more sex, and it has a plot.

Now I feel as if I just shat on the Anime KoiKoi 7 but.. It deserves it. And the creators of it... You guys lost to a bloody Hentai... Sad...

Anyways, that's all for tonight.

So first I am getting cought back up with the current season, then I got another show to watch but I will get to that one J-man.

Not really anything in the way of reviews, however

http://www.first-squad.com/ First squad's website. Still nothing on the release date but I'm still thinking it could be out by Spring Season.

I should have a few half way point reviews for most of the current shows I'm watching now. I'm just starting to catch up to them after a brief break from Anime. Was going to do a review today but after all the shit that happened it'll have to be in the next couple of days. Sorry but... those of you who talk to you on the chat will know whats up.

Alright, well a few of you may have wondered why I haven't tossed up anything lately but.. Mostly because I'm still watching shows from this season, and I don't think I need to update every day on every show. That and I'm not watching too many older shows at the moment.

Uhm.. Well I'll get started with...

Kannagi

Well... As much as I liked this show when it started it slumped off. I'm now on episode 11 of the series and.. Although it is still good it did do some pointless crap. Pretty much if you decide to skip 7 to 10... You won't really miss much.. If anything. They were filler episodes, nothing more nothing less. I guess the term "filler" doesn't fit as they weren't waiting for a Manga to catch up or anything.. But they were pointless episodes none the less. Finally in episode 11 they pulled their act together, and almost got mad at them self's for tossing in 3 pointless episodes. There were a few comments in ep. 11 about how they've done nothing really etc.

So as ep. 11 came to a end, it left me wondering whats going to happen next.. This was probably the first episode in the series to actually make me wonder what's going to happen in the next episode.. So the show could turn around on me and end in a awesome blaze of glory..But with only 2 more episodes left... We'll see.

Hyakko

Easily one of the funniest shows this season. Every season needs one I guess.. From School Rumble, Sketchbook Full Colours, etc ec now to Hyakko. Plot? None... Just another school yard comedy that still kicks ass if it is done right.
