Remember Nic The Weasel? Nack's Sister?...
Well, she may be a un-popular character. But, more then half of the Sonic Archie Fans want to see her back:

Nic is just Nack only....a girl. So......I don't really care if she gets panel time or not.
HOWEVER: She at least isn't a complete loser like Nack.

I don't like Nack either. I think he annoys me. But, he did try to kill Mina the Mongoose. But so what! He's weak anyway.
I think I like Nic, she does sort of have a attractive look... maybe quite sexy as Fiona and Rouge 
Lol... I also think she's more mature and tough then her brother.
I think Archie should bring her back, with more attitude and wear pants... maybe. And she could be one of the good guys... I think.

Then again, many people complain that Knuckles is a "red Sonic with dreadlocks." Kinda like how people criticize Sally for being a "female Tails in a wig". It's not recoloring, it's just a common design.
Recoloring is when you take a character's design, change little to nothing about it (often the color), then call it a different character. They have the exact same persona in their designs with little to differentiate them from their original counterpart. Characters like Nic, Jules and Bernadette, and nearly all of Penders' Echidna characters can be cosidered recolors.
In all honesty, I think Nic had potential to be an interesting character. Had they given her a better design and a distinctive personality, she might've been more popular in the comics.

I know that. My problem is everyone thinks Fang/Nack is the greatest Sonic character since Sonic himself in some instances. But then they turn around and hate on characters like Shadow for being a cheap rip off and having no personality. All of Fang's personality is speculation. He only appeared in what two games? One was a fighting game and in the other he basically only fought you in a pod thing like Robotnik does. He has less personality and character development then ELISE! What makes him so special?
And that's why I don't like him. He's overrated.
HOWEVER: I do like some fan interpretations of him. I saw a SatAMized version of him and it was actually rather good. I'll see if I can find it again. I just don't like the character because I feel he's the retro is better then modern effect.
With Nic being Female Nack....I couldn't care either way until something happened anyways.

Honestly, I see where you're going at. I just wish these characters got more screentime. At least the Archie/Fleetway series kept them and developed them into more memorable characters.
Speaking of scrapped characters, seems like Big the Cat is joining them.

Yes and no....
I kinda like Mighty, Ray, Bean, and Bark...but honestly yeah. They should be on the list. I just happen to like them so.....they didn't make it.

Honestly Big the Cat isn't really that bad of a character. In a game series where everyone is lightning fast and slow character is actually a good idea. However in the gameplay aspect makes Big unusable. He's to slow to play like a regular Sonic Character and his fishing mini-games where less then entertaining at best. In Sonic Heroes he feels outta place because he's pawned off on the "Girls Team". I figure if they actually gave him some decent gameplay he wouldn't be that bad.

I just hate it sometimes when some people confused her with her brother. I remember this guy told me, Nic: he's unpopular, he hasn't been in the comics for years, and people dislike him. Then I explain to him "You're thinking of her brother Nack the Weasel, not Nic... I'm talking about the female Weasel name Nic." And the next thing, he didn't respond and I think he was confused.
I never like Nack, I'm sure he's everybody least favorite from the games or comis. But for Nic, I think she's a better role model then her brother. If someone like Sega or Archie wants a better weasel character, it'd should be Nic, not Nack.

Like most scrapped characters, I thought Nack/Fang had a lot of potential. He's one of the few Mobian characters from the games that continues to be a villian in the end; all the others (i.e. Knuckles, Shadow, Rouge, the Babylon Rogues) became allies with Sonic. Not to mention he's one of the better characters to wield a gun. Shadow never needed one to begin with, so why bother?
What has me curious is his lineage. In some sources (and recently in the Archie series), Nack is described as being a weasel/wolf hybrid. And as we've seen in the Archie comics, interracial Mobian couples are capable of having children born as either one of their parents' respective species. Which begs the question; which one of Nack's parents was lupine? Is it ancestral? And since bounty hunting runs in the family, could Sleet the Wolf from "Sonic Underground" be a close relative?
Maybe I'm looking too into this. Overall, I still think Nack deserves some spotlight.

Actually, the Japanese manual to "Sonic Triple Trouble" is the source of this interesting fact. It was dropped in the American/European canon, but it seems like the comics are bringing it back.

Probably dropped because of the whole Mobian Relationships thing. And probably brought back because Ian Flynn likes to pull out old forgotten information/facts. Which I kinda like but also kinda hate because some are nostalgic and it's fun to have those things again but others are like "what the heck are you talkin' 'bout?"
Back on topic that does add something interesting to both Nack/Fang and Nic.
Also just out of curiosity, Nack is sometimes called Fang. So what would Nic's nickname to go with Fang be?

"Barb" perhaps?
I looked up possible synonyms for "fang" and came across this. I picked "barb" since it's a sharp point or hook, and it sounds Australian.
