That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

I'd say a lot of the old guard are guaranteed to come back.  Ness and the Captain are a given.  Wario is also very likely since two different assist trophies have been shown related to him...AND using the Wario insignia to boot when they were shown.

 

Seeing the Pacman trailer has me curious, though.  Note that the third party characters all shown are technically mascot characters for their respective companies.  (Sega-Sonic, Capcom-Megaman (though this one is debatable nowadays), and Namco-Pacman)  Could this be a hint to other potential third party characters coming into play?  Personally, I doubt any other third party characters are coming, especially since even Kojima doesn't think Snake is coming back.  (Despite him wanting Snake back.)

All the matches from the smash bros invitational. I played both 3ds and wii u version last night at best buy, both run at 60fps. I played as link and tied for second with someone playing a bowser, the other two people I went up against played at mario(won), and little mac.

You're probably not.  Several have asked for Rayman since even before Brawl came out.

 

Actually...I've been thinking that if other "mascot" characters are coming, I wouldn't be surprised if this was because Sakurai sent out requests as an "invitational" of sorts.  Sort of as a way to tempt the third party companies into not only using their characters for Smash, but also entice them to make games for the WiiU.  (Which COULD work...since right now there's a lack of third party support for WiiU.)

Ness was originally intended to be replaced by Lucas, but Lucas is from a Japanese only game, so they put in Ness for American Audiences.

 

I won't be surprised if they make it in, or don't make it in.

Sakurai trolled us by posting the same day as the trailer stream.

I think he's a later addition, a way to persuade Ubisoft to come back to the Wii U early.
