This sparked from a debate about if Robotnik was a better villain then Bowser.....don't ask how.
If Robotnik Built the Death Egg why would he need the ARK?
So what's your opinion? Is the ARK a better weapon or the Death Egg?

I think they are both equal in certain areas

Death Egg FTW!
I like it better because it proove the genius talent of Robotnik, unlike the ARK, which was stolen from a mid-20 century space station made by an obscure space program organisation (in which Geral Kintobor took place).

The Death Egg was Eggman's creation, but its purpose was never explained. Was it a super weapon, or just an excuse to make the world fear him? Whichever it was, it didn't stop him from building it three times. One in "Sonic 2"/"Sonic 3 and Knuckles", the next in "Sonic the Fighters", and another in "Sonic Battle" and "Sonic 4".
The Space Colony ARK is just as its name implies, it was a space colony built to support life. With all the creatures and mutant experiments taking place there, there's a reason why they call it an "ark".
They aren't the only space stations over Earth/Mobius though. You also have the Egg Utopia from "Sonic Advance 2", Dead Line from "Sonic Rush", and the E.G.G. Station from "Sonic 4". All of which were either created by Dr. Eggman or a relative of his.

Yeah, the Death Egg was always destroy before it could be used.....but maybe it's a good thing. You see, we never saw the Death Egg in action, maybe it's for the best, because his power is unknow to us. But if it would have been used, maybe it could have been the end of Sonic and all the other....who know?
