That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

I bought and played Sonic Adventure, Adventure 2 Battle, and Heroes for the GC. They were okay. They felt slow and clunky compared to the 2D platforming Sonic games. My least favorite mechanic is the rail grinding. Come on, Sonic RUNS! I have tried Secret Rings and Colors. Colors was okay, but Secret Rings feels even slower than Heroes. I just can't bring myself to buy a 3D Sonic game anymore. And the trailer for this game seems to just be adding more gimmicky tricks to Sonic's move commands. We'll see.

 

I might buy Sonic 4 though.


I love my God, my wife, my 5 kids, and I like my guns, my beer, my whiskey, and my pickup.

I dislike politicians, policemen, diet foods, no-smoking signs, and mowing the lawn.

I like Sonic games from the Genesis days, tolerate the Sonic Adventure series, can stomach Sonic Heroes, and can't stand the rest.

And there is only one true story of Sonic, SatAM.

I'm going to call it now, this will be the best 3D Sonic game to date!

 

Dont jump the gun, like everyone did with '06

 

I feel like this game is going back to it's roots. This game is nothing like 06.

Save your money, man. Sonic 4 episode 1 and 2 aren't bad, but their... really bland. Their alright the first time, but their titles you won't go back to, not with all the other options you have. If they were 5 bucks a piece, maybe... But 25 dollars all together? For that money, you could just get Sonic Generations. I know you said you don't want to give the 3D games any more chances, but this is defently worth giving a shot.The remade 2.5 Genesis levels are a blast to play through, with remixed music and the choice to swap the levels soundtrack with other tracks. The 3D sections with modern Sonic are like those in Sonic colors, maybe a little tighter and easier to get the hang of, but there's something grand about tearing through Chemical Plant Zone at high speed in third person.

If you want a major throwback to the old days, then check out Generations. Even if you don't like the 3D sections, the classic Sonic segments blow anything Sonic 4 has out of the water- and come complete with missions and alternate level layouts.

 

Or if you haven't tried it, check out the revamped Sonic CD that came out a while back on Steam, PS3 and 360. At 5 dollars, it's a steal.

New Lost World Trailer Posted! 

Just saw this on the Sonic Facebook wall a few hours ago, it's kinda like a quick intro of each Deadly Six member. This is my impression of them so far: Zor's an Emo; Zazz is like a psychopath punk; Master Zik's voice reminds me of Lazaar from SATam; Zavok is labeled as "Master of Chaos" so i assume he's the boss of all them; Zomom acts like he thinks about nothing but eating hahaha; and Zeena acts a spoiled-rotten diva.

:unsure: Wow, it was a week ago. I stand corrected LOL, just that the link in the Sonic FB page shows it was published today, so i thought it was brand-spankin new. But they both show different formats, the one i posted shows direct links to each segment of the video.

Meh, I don't know, it feels pretty average.

 

But at least it looks like they finally fixed the game play.


A petition to keep up to a third of the characters in the sonic comics from being lost forever.

So a lot of the reviews has come in. Ranging from 4/10 to 7/10.

My expectations for the game were met (I thought the controls looked a bit wonky), but what I'm not getting is IGN's review of the game. Throughout the whole year, they've been praising the game's direction and gameplay, hyping up the fans for the release; only to double-cross everyone's expectations with a negative review over a game they had a helping hand in promoting. What gives?

Also, they're criticizing the game for lacking an element which they heavily criticized in previous games. Talk about hypocritical.

I haven't played it yet....

 

Heck I haven't been paying attention and forgot all about it's release.

 

HOWEVER - I'm sold on the intro.  Eggman being dangerous, and interesting place to explore, looks good to me.  

 

And since I never really care what IGN ever has to say because they just do their best to please their viewers rather than actually put effort into reviewing, I could care less if they rated it at all.

Because it's easy to hate on Sonic because so many people do.  It's trying to relate to the players be relating to what is popular.

Get this. The only Sonic game to get 10/10 on IGN was Pocket Adventure.
