@  furrykef : (25 July 2015 - 03:35 AM)

When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

on*

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

First, Microsoft give big opportunity to the third party developeur to abuse the system, thanks to Microsoft. After all, if they make their console to attack used-game market, Microsoft is directly responsible for this. Therefore, they are the one to blame.

Second, what about the person who will purchase a game used? They will have to paid twice. What's the point to get a used game? The answer is: to get a game for a cheaper price. Not only this will kill the point of buy them used, but also this is a greedy way to make more money from the same copy of a game.

Third, remember how the Xbox One will forced you to connect your system to Xbox Live every day, or then your game won't turn on. If the Live service is down, you can't play ANYTHING. One day, when Microsoft will shut down Xbox Live for the Xbox One, that's mean you'll lose EVERYTHING! Permenantly.

Mircosoft said theres checks so that doesnt happen. Plus its "always on" (the system itself is off but its still connected to the network so it would satisfy the need for the daily connection.) And as i recall Live hasnt been shut down for more than 6-12 hours (cause it isnt PSN) so i think its fine

Tell you what when i get one i will say if i 'permenantly' lose everything. If i dont then i dont

But as i said. X1 impressed me (the features are cool IMHO) and all i saw with the PS4 was a PS3 with a (slightly, if not barely) better engine and CPU on it

The first Xbox have no longer access to Xbox live. Some day (probably within the next few years) the Xbox 360 will be cut off from Xbox Live too. Think about all the XBLA games that require to be connected to play, or else all you have access to is only a demo version of the game you own. Now think about the game for Xbox One that require Xbox Live to play.......

Yea and the first Xbox service ended what like last year, two years ago?? And 360's service will be around for a long time

Not for ever. The same goes for the Xbox One. In the future, when even the console from the 80's and 90's will still be playable, the Xbox One will be just a memory, and just a past part of history for those who didn't saw the console when it's was new.

I'm the kind of guy who usually think outside of the box. We may don't care now......but what about then, in the future?

I grow up with a SNES at the time when the console was living his last years (the N64 was already out at this point). Look at today, i still enjoy playing SNES games, even more than i did before. I can even play game that i didn't even knew before, or even playing game that i missed out because i wasn't even born (like the NES, Master System, Colecovision, etc.). Nothing today stop me to play those game here and now. Now look at the Xbox One, the restriction of DRM and the consequence that will come up with this...

Not only this will kill the point of buy them used, but also this is a greedy way to make more money from the same copy of a game.

Also Game stores like Gamestop Thrive on reselling used games.  Pretty much one third of their profits will be cut off because nobody will be buying used Xbox one games.  They'll raise prices to make up for that.

Also one of the local Gamestop employees near me said if Xbox does do that their store will likely boycott Microsoft Products.  That means even PC and 360  Games.

When I first joined FUS I used to use my PSP to post here when I was away from home (not having a iPhone or a Laptop with internet at the time).  Now my PSP can not connect to the internet not due to servers being down but rather the internet providers being too powerful for it.  The PSP is only 7-8 years old.  The Original Xbox is only 10-12 years old.

The 360 has about a decade of online and that's about it.

the only reason why the shut down service to Xbox was due to the fact it was losing money (on the 1st Xbox's end) and it wasnt worth keeping it going. They also asked if it was okay to shut down service.

My friend had a PSP until he broke it...5 times

And they'll do the same for the 360 too.  We thought the original Xbox Live would last forever.  It didn't.  Neither will 360

Also it kinda is your friend's fault for breaking his own PSP five times, not Sony's.

Exactly! Now, when it's about the future Xbox One, you'll need to connect your system to Xbox Live every day if you want to play your games. No connection to Xbox Live=no game. Now fast foward in the future, Microsoft will disconnect Xbox Live for the Xbox One, the result is the same: No connection to Xbox Live=no game. With the Xbox Live cut off permanently, your game won't be playable......permanently!

I dropped mine, stepped on mine, threw mine across the room and all I got are two dead pixels off to the side of the screen and a battery that drains even when it is off.

5 Years ain't that great.

What's pissing me off the most is: What's gonna happen to the few game i purchase on XBLA? After all, if i'm not connected to Xbox Live, i can't get access to the full version. All i'll have access to at this point will be the trial version (or demo, whatever how they called it). What this mean is i'll loose my game? That isn't fair! That is why i HATE that when they force online on us!

So, like Ben said, let's say the Xbox Live service will still be on for the Xbox 360 for 5 more year....then what? I lose all my XBLA game and that's it?

Never played the original but it's not enough to overlook the DRM crap. At least MGS5 looks good, but I'm not sold on the new voice of snake, FYI MGS 5 is not exclusive.

Dead Rising 3!!!! Okay this is one game I can get behind, please be multiplatform!

Considering how it comes with Kinect 2.0, Blu-Ray & Cable, and motion and voice activated controls and all that if you think about it its a steal. I mean the 360 was $400 when it first came out

and Minecraft!
