That will only popularise the used of forced DRM and other corporate bullshit, which are going to grow more and more because of it. As a consumer, we get fucked and corporation get away with this...and all you said is that ''you don't care''.

Do you really think the company are loosing money? That they are so poor?......A industry that make BILLIONS of dollard EVRY SINGLE YEARS?

 

Why should we the one (from a consumer perspective) to worry about them? I don't say we shoudn't care at all, but when it's about an industry that can hold themself, the only think we should really worry is what we get from them.

 

It's funny to see that some people think we should help them and giving them money, no matter what. This industry is able to take care of themself, this shouldn't be our job. In the end, if the video game corporation are some much is financial problem, why are we supposed to be the one to suffer from it and paid more from what we buy/or want to buy? When WE are the one who are losing in this situation, you should start thinking that something is a little...fishy.

 

After all, if these company exist, it's thanks to us. As a consumer, by buying their product, we make them live. It's a question of mutual respect: they sell us good product and we buy them. If they sell us overpriced piece of shit, we shouldn't respect them in return by not buying it. If we don't buy anything from them, they will have to changes their strategie/marketing to something better....for us (not for them).

 

Look at Atari in 1983, they threat consumer like shit by selling crappy game. Consumer got pissed and stop buying their games. Result: Atari lose money because their markething have gone agaisnt the consumer. If they could have threat nicely their consumer, they won't be in trouble like they were.

Don't think it's easy to disarm someone with a AK47. In real life, you would probably got killed by trying to do so...

Well the keep "fixing" Windows every year even though it still has a ton of problems while OS X gets better with no problems (other than the lack of reading .exe.)

I don't want to side with Microsoft on this, but Apple aren't any better.

I currently used a Windows 7. It's work propely. Now, there's Windows 8...do i need it? No. I'm fine with Windows 7 so i don't need to change it. So i won't buy Windows 8, because i have no reason to.

I have a Ipod Touch 4.....and got ALOT of problem with it (flashback of error 1611 come back).

Also, how many ipod/ipad/iphone they made so far? Especially when it's not yet the need to change it.

I remember back in the day when it was rentals that were hurting the gaming industry. Then it was piracy. Now it's the second hand market.

 

And yet stores don't make a whole lot from the sale of a brand new game or console. How they make most of their money is through selling second hand titles. Get rid of that and a lot of stores gonna get shut down. But it makes me chuckle how these stores are the "enemy" to the publishers and yet they still do store exclusive DLC? Why? Maybe because they need these fuckers to sell their games.

 

Maybe the game studios are losing money because they don't know what the fuck they are doing? Same shit happened in Hollywood. Before you had plenty of studios churning out movies and failing because they didn't know what they were doing. Cannon Films and Orion spring to mind there, producing too many movies at one time, throwing too much money into them or spending money on movies that didn't get made.

 

And sorry, but I think it's my right to trade in a game or get a refund if I think the game I purchased is a total bag of shit. "Oh what's that? You bought our $60 game and you didn't like it? Well too fucking bad jackass!" Especially when it's total shit like Aliens: Colonial Marines that are being hyped up and is supposedly a triple A title being sold to the masses. Oh please, do hype your games up with trailers that don't show actual game play footage and actual game play footage that has been altered to look far more impressive then the finished product and they don't even release a demo so I can try the game out before I buy. Please continue to lie to me so I will glady give you $60+ for a game I will later regret to buying because you lied to me and now I can't get rid of it because of your restrictions. Because that's certainly the way it should be!

They aren't. They just pretend to just so people get sad for them in order to sqeeze more money out of our wallet.
