@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

i have a feeling that Sally and the other comic cast will slowly become into background characters...

Despite the fact we have yet to read anything at all after the second Genesis Wave as we aren't even half way through the crossover yet. You're just jumping the gun and assuming stuff with no evidence at all.

All I can say about this is "fuck you Archie" for once again giving us needless variant covers.
'Star Wars' is my story, just like my house is my house. So if I wanna paint my house green, even if everyone else thinks it should be red, guess what? I'm gonna paint it Jar Jar! - George Lucas

"The Devil Inside is the new scam from director William Something Something. The movie stars actors and was edited on a computer. Somewhere. This movie is the latest film in a series of very low budget films designed to look like real movies! And be released in theaters to make a quick buck via a horribly off kilter budget to profit ratio that the general public seem to be stupidly unaware of! These films use to be called 'direct to video' but now they are called 'first run features'. These films then vanish from the theaters, like a rapist leaving the scene of a crime." - Mike Stoklasa of RedLetterMedia

The companies do variants all the time, hell, the first issue of MLP had like 30.

I might be a bit. Its coming from all the sudden changes they mentioned

Most of the huge companies do variant covers, and IDW are infamous for variant covers. Not only the basic variants, but retailer exclusives and such. It doesn't surprise me that they did so many for that comic, seeing as bronies will buy nearly anything with a colourful cartoon pony on it.

Before 2011 with #225, Archie had never done a variant cover for any of the Sonic books at all. Since then, including the upcoming crossover issues and these two issues, it brings the total to around 25.

Variant covers mainly exist because collectors will buy all the covers to complete a collection, thus banking more money for the publishers.

Sometimes Variant Covers are awesome because they have a cooler design or feature a guest artist or maybe show the sketch variation which gives you and idea how the picture came to be.

Most of the time however is they are just an alternate cover. And as far as alternate covers go the variant is usually more pricey and not as good.

Honestly though, I'd rather buy a poster or a wall scroll for the artwork. I mean it's on Comic Book Paper. Not the best stuff for artwork that you want to last.

And not to tick of collectors or what not, but if you ain't going to use it, why buy it? If you collect and read the comics at least your using it, but if you're just collecting and putting it on the shelf to never be opened, why get it at all?

I'm excited for both of these stories! Especially Pirate Plunder Panic.

Do you think they refrenced it like this: Pirate Plunder Panic = Palm Tree Panic?

Just making a joke.

Well I'm not really looking forwards to the "Terrifying Tails Doll" because....I've never really found it terrifying. Mostly just ....awkward. Like it's outta place or something.

It gives people more variety to choose. If they don't like one, they can get another.

Besides, I need that SU Blaze variant.

A lot has been leaked out onto the 'net. The details make it look bleak and grim

At All Costs - Part 2: A New Lease on Life
The issue stars with Sonic, whose memories from before-such as the time he was beaten by Eggman, the time he was was on the Death Egg during the first Genesis Wave, or his battle with Shadow on the ARK-return, as well as a memory of when he allied with the Wisps.

Uh....not seeing it.  At all.  Where does it suck?
