By technicality: Sega own ALL characters in the games, tv shows, comic, etc.

That's... literally what I just did (or at least tried to) say. I think.

Oh dear... what a mess this is becoming. In regards to Penders using the characters he made, I think the whole thing isn't going to favor anyone. Archie has to do last minute re-writes and remove pre-exisinting characters, which, from what I understand, is harming the archive re-releases as well, right? At this point, hitting the reset button on the comic has never seemed more tempting.

And in that turn, removing characters like Julie-Su and characters tied to her, they go from being supporting characters of the Archie Sonic the Hedgehog universe to... well, fan characters. Even after the "Incredible" "Re-designs", they still hold that Sonic the Hedgehog look and feel... except worse. Frankly, if I was in his shoes, I would just start from scratch.



... And I'll laugh like mad if he tries to pass off Rob'o the hedge as an original character in his series. "He's not Sonic, alright!? Look, he's got a hood and bow! Totally different, and LOOK, I gave HIM green eyes BEFORE sega gave SONIC green eyes! If anything, their ripping ME off!"

Even if he didn't sign anything explicitly stating that he could retain (or surrender) ownership, many companies have a clause that pretty much says anything you create/patent/have sexual relations with is theirs. The problem? They usually put it in the employee handbook and then make you sign a form stating that you have received the handbook and agree to adhere to it. Now, whether this is the case with Archie, I don't know, unless we ask someone that works there.

Holy s**t i live 20 mins from Temecula! Damn, if i wanted to, i could have a protest LOL just kidding, I don't have the man power or resources anyway. But yea Ken is pissing off alot of Archie Sonic fans, and though i'm trying to catch up on the years I haven't read, I feel Ken shouldn't win the case. Someone working for a comic book company shouldn't rip all their created characters out of the comic's storyline just cause he wants to have them all to hisself. Instead he should be granted money royalties, and acknowledgement that he origianlly created them. But for Ken to just wanna f**k up the whole comic series like that just for his own selfish and greedy reasons? Naw, that's crazy
