@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

Battlefield 3 was wicked good and i am looking forward to BF4. If you compare BF3/4 with CoD theres gonna be problems

There's no need to compare Battlefield 4 with any game to make it look generic. What the game have to offer have already been done to death.

i understand that people would see this as "another generic FPS" but Battlefield does it differently. It's more realistic with more realistic elements with much better gameplay and not fake like CoD

Really? How? Realistic? Just because of the graphic, for sure.

actual weapons with their real specifications and abilities, the actual vehicles (in which some of the developers got to get into) and they take into account of training and stuff. Im not gonna argue with this. All im saying is that Battlefield is way better and im pumped for Battlefield 4

Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl have a enormous single player campaign, realistic accuracy for weapon, day and night cycle, non-linear level desing, unscript A.I., incredible astorphere, etc.

This game is awesome, and i could give you more exemple.

Battlefield 4, have shiny graphic....and......EXPLOSION!

Are you REALLY willing to spent 60$ for yet, an another overrated generic modern shooter? For a 4-6 hours campaign, with a multiplayer full of DLC? There is absolutly NOTHING new or special in this game!

I could give you more game that are actually worth the try:
-Metro 2033
-Singularity
-Spec Ops: the Line
-Far Cry 3
-Rage
-Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl
-Stalker Call of Pripyat
...etc.

Better than CoD. I actually get my new games for a bit less

I have Far Cry 3, Spec Ops, and other great games like AC3, GTA IV, and Skyrim. But i like the Battlefield series, if you dont like it , fine by me but dont go criticizing me for liking it

I don't critizice you particuly, but rather the franchise as a whole. I like Battlefield Bad Company (the first one), because the campaign was funny, the gameplay was solid, with large environment and amusing character. Then we got Bad Company 2, which is a boring Modern Warfare 2 wanabe. Now, all the new Battlefield have become a bunch of generic shooter with no personnality whatsoever. Battlefield had become a cash-in franchise, nothing more, nothing less.

The campaign in Battlefield 3 is just crap. Short, full of cheap-shot, heavily scripted with typical cliché story about the US in the middle-east. Nothing new here. The campaign in this game is simply not good. But i know what you're thinking: It's just your opinion. But no, it's not about me or my opinion, the campaign in Battlefield 3 is really flawed in so many level.

In a way i guess but as i said the primary reason i play it is because my friends and i have it so playing multiplayer is fun

For the multiplayer, i agree with you. But not being a fan of competition, or any multiplayer game in general, i'm more in a single player game, and Battlefield for exemple are really not good at it. I don't know why they fail so badly, because they did some good single player game in the past (like the first Bad Company, or Mirror Edge). But even for the multiplayer in Battlefield 4, i'm more likely to belive that it will be an another multi a la BF3, with more DLC that will come with it.

I think more and more people just play FPS for the Multiplayer aspect (i play for both). cause i know a few people who just play multiplayer and thats it. I like both aspects. Now if you watch the second video which shows the prologue i think they may have a somewhat decent story (and from what i gathered its condensed so theres more).

I saw the single player gameplay video, and beside the nice graphic, it's just an another typical, non-sensical, unrealistic, over-exagerated, cliché hoolywood pop-corn story that make no sense. Once again, it's a game where you play the almighty and oh so extremely powerfull army of the United State of America, where you fight the oh so EVIL Russian, or terrorist, or both. Anyway, i'm so FUCKING SICK of it. I want something else, something different. Why couldn't i play the Russian for once, and the US can be the bad guy?

I get your point but the US is the biggest market for games like this. If they pull that no one would buy it. It's a catch-22.

Now one thing i noticed was the name Hawkins. If i remember correctly there was a character name Hawkins in Battlefield 3. Just connecting the dots.

It's still not a reason to make all theses game so boring. Why so many game share the same typical modern fictionnal war in the middle east? There is so many war they can take:
-the war of 1812 (when the US Army try to invade Canada to piss off the British)
-The American Civil War (i buy the movie Lincoln in Blu-ray yesterday, that movie look awesome!)
-World War 1
-The Korean War
-Indochina War
-Vietnam
....heck, even the Soviet war in Afganistan in the '80 could be different instead of the US perspective.

I would be cool to do a Civil War or a WW1 game. (Lincoln is really good BTW).

Technically the Korean War is still going on

'nam was just a shitstorm, My uncle was apart of it and he HATES talking about it
