When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

on*

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

BEWARE THE IDES OF MARCH...

Hey everyone, Masterblaster here...

I just wanted to drop in and show off a project that I just recently finished...on the 15th of March no less.

It's been a very long time coming...over 2 years in fact...but it’s finally done. I have mentioned this project before in passing…HERE...HERE...HERE...and HERE...but now I am finally 100% finished with it. Behold!

“PAPERCUT 2”

Approx. 135 mins

UNRATED

Tagline...“NO MOAR GAMES”

PAPERCUT 2 is an original story following two young lovers while paying homage to and parodying pop culture, video games, and 80's movies. Made by fans, for fans!

Shooting weekend to weekend and paycheck to paycheck, I shot this film over the course of 2 years. I did everything on this project, I made all the props, costumes, did all the location scouting, set construction, editing, directing, SFX, sound editing…I pretty much did everything there was to do on this movie.

I’ve worked with over 100+ cast and crew from around the country and have worked with several local and national Hollywood talent. Cast and crew who have worked on: Ghostbusters, Transformers 3, Inspectres, Matt Forbecks Brave New World, Traffic, Super Mario Bros, Evil Dead, Sonic the Hedgehog, Gearbox Software’s Duke Nukem, Captain America, Thor, Overtime, The Tomb, Fire From Below, Camel Spiders, America's Next Top Model, and more…all worked on my movie.

Despite being virtually broke throughout the 2 year production shoot, I was able to shoot a 2 hour long feature film completely out of pocket. I ended up buying 5 vehicles for this movie after all was said and done...two of them having complete restorations...

Lots of blood, sweat and tears went into making Papercut 2 and it shows on the final product.

I hope everyone here likes what they see and looks forward to the movie’s premiere. Please let me know what you think about it…the movie, trailer, plot points, casting, SFX…etc.

I’d love to hear any and all feedback on this movie project.

I hope that everyone is as excited for the movie as I am, it’s really gonna be awesome.

BUMP FOR UPDATES

Hey everyone...it's been awhile since I last updated the movie topic and I have some cool news to share!

PAPERCUT 2 PREMIERES THIS MONTH! MAY 31st and JUNE 1st in Stanford, KY!

Papercut 2 on IMDb

It's premiering at my old high school. Back to where I first got the idea to make movies, after working in my media production class as a senior.

I've come full circle...

Here are some snapshots of events and promotions that I have done recently for the movie.

I had a small public screening at a film school in Kentucky for the movie. About 20 film and art students showed up to watch the film.

Here is a local video game store promoting the movie, comic books, posters and action figures.

I was on a local radio station and did an interview about the movie. The DJ himself plays a villain in the movie.

I recently did two interviews for 2 papers...one the local paper and another one for a video game magazine.

But the most recent and coolest update yet...is the release of my short film PAPERCUT 2: CHUCK's NEW JOB

PAPERCUT 2: CHUCK'S NEW JOB

"Chuck's New Job" was shot in 3 days and took about a month to edit. The music was finished in a few weeks and features some prominent members of the GB community. Jesse Sosa and Ian McIantosh, who worked on the GB video game for XBOX and PS3, also appear in the PAPERCUT 2 COMIC BOOK.

"Chuck's New Job" just gives you a small sample of what to expect if you watch the full PAPERCUT 2 movie.

If you are in central Kentucky next week I highly encourage you to come out and see the film. I'm just a local director who shot this movie entirely out of pocket and over the course of 2 years. Lots of love and care was put into the script and if anyone can come out and see it, you won't be disappointed.

For all info on the movie, check out http://www.papercut2.com

Until next update!

BUMP FOR UPDATE

As the film's 3rd screening nears later this month, with a 4th screening being locked in place...I have released another "sneak peak" from the movie.

Check out the "SONIC THE HEDGEHOG HOMAGE SCENE" from PAPERCUT 2!

This scene features two special quests, Bob Forward and Milton Knight.  Bob was a writer for the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon shows of the early 90s.  And Milton Knight was an animator for the 90s sonic cartoons.

It was a real great pleasure working with everyone on this short, as I took all of my SONIC inspirations from "SONIC CD & SONIC OVA".  With alittle "Sonic the Comic, Archie Sonic, and SATAM" thrown in for good measure.

Hope everyone enjoys the clips from the movie!  I'm getting ready to take the film to Indiana soon...so here's hoping the 5th screening will be in Indiana.  I also have contacts in Ohio interested too...

As for the 2nd screening of PAPERCUT 2, the grand premiere, it was a huge success!  Over 100 people came out to watch the movie and attended the film's Q&A after the screening.  I have new plans to showcase the movie in other venues across kentucky with will hopefully take me north of the state into Ohio and Indiana.  Here are some photos from the premiere!

Not only that, but the writer, creator and editor of NINTENDO FORCE magazine showed up and presented me with Issue 3.  Which contains an article on the PAPERCUT 2 movie!  He signed my issue and bought a PAPERCUT 2 Comic Book!

And Here are a few clips from the movie for those who where not able to show up to the premiere!

The first 4mins of the movie...

The film's complete ending credits, which in itself is a parody of PHANTASY STAR ONLINE's original ending!

A video game homage scene parodying Penny Arcade, F@NBOY$, and PVP!

and one of the most coolest scenes in the movie, the 93 Super Mario Bros homage scene in PC2!

Not only does Mojo Nixon replay his role from the original Super Mario Bros movie, but I got the actual "meteorite necklace" from the 93 SMB movie and put it in my movie.  A special thanks to smbmovie.com for hooking me up with Mojo Nixon and the guy with the screen used SMB movie props.

Another special thanks goes to LBD and Nintendo Force magazine for helping support the movie and put out press on it.

I Hope everyone enjoys what they see and will support the DVD once it gets ready to come out.  I can't wait to show off other scenes from the movie and hope everyone here thinks the 2 year + wait time was worth it.

Until next update!
