Also, in the Archieves' defense, gases from Dr.R are in the air. Maybe those gases and Dr.R's terraforming may cause the backgrounds to look retarded...

Well persoanlly, I think they should add me. I mean, why not? Having another human to acompany Robotnik could be just the solution they're looking for. I say that based on nothing, but I wanna be in the commic!
In all seriousness, Manic and Sonia had their place in the other cartoon, I don't believe they should be included here.

I think he means background character when possible. If we're in knothole or a citizen in the past, just a quick shot over the city as they are stricken with fear... just a couple of situations.

I'm not sure how I feel about Sonia and Manik appearing in Sea3on since I never did finish watching all of Sonic Underground. Fang the Sniper would be an interesting character to add, provided that he was used well. Fang showing up every now and then to give the cast some competition would be interesting. Any more, and I feel he would be stealing the show from Robotnik or other villains. When I watched some of it, Sonic Underground seemed to have a lot of potential. However, it felt too much like a cross between Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and Satam, and the songs, along with several other factors, detracted from the show. But I should probably not get into all of that.

You hit the nail right on the head.When I watched some of it, Sonic Underground seemed to have a lot of potential. However, it felt too much like a cross between Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and Satam, and the songs, along with several other factors, detracted from the show.

If you've never saw Sonic Underground, you don't miss very much. Oddly enough, in the french version (called ''Sonic le Rebelle'' in french), Sonia is actually voiced by a girl! That make her sound way better than the english version.
If my english can look like crap, don't kill me...please? French is my native language!

That sounds like a definite improvement. No offense to Jaleel White, but I would have preferred if Sonic's siblings had been voiced by different actors, or at least Sonia.

I think that every dub into a different language got different voice actors for each character. I don't really like having three Jaleel White carbon copies.

When you saw those other mobians in Knothole in Sonic SatAM, they added liveliness to the anime, in the sense that now you knew that Sonic and Co. were fighting for more than themselves. By being the "background characters no one cares about", we can show that even through all those years, Sonic and Co. have still managed to protect themselves an the ones they are fighting for, and managed to pick up some stranded or displaced mobians along the way.
