If there's to be a revival, it'll have to be modernized; similar to the games themselves. You can still have Sally and the Freedom Fighters, but remodel them to fit the modern setting and depiction since everyone's more acquainted with it. Like maybe Eggman took control of Mobotropolis and turned it into the Scrap Brain/Metropolis Zone from the origonal games, and Knothole village could be a secret hideout in the Great Forest Zone somewhere on South Island.

Oh yeah, as far as I know DHX Media took control of Cookie Jar late last year, so they would probably be the company you'd have to be dealing with.
Anyway, best of luck to you.

I'd just give Max here a break. Like he said, I have no idea what his life is like, who he is, and all that Jazz.
Besides, i don't really have a reason to FORGIVENESS. You don't really need to be forgiven, do you? I don't see why you would.... You didn't really do anything bad. If anything, it's the fan base that needs your forgiveness.
I AM NUMBER XV.
I AM AXZEN.
SO LOOK ALIVE, SUNSHINE.

Sounds like any official attempt at reviving SatAM wouldn't even require negotiations with DHX (which has whatever rights DIC originally held), just Sega, unless access to the original art assets was needed for whatever reason.
However, even if an official revival actually made it off the ground, it would likely be crippled by the reasons that LogiTeeka alluded to. The Archie comic series is completely smothered in various corporate mandates and attempts to please so many conflicting factions of the Sonic fanbase. I doubt this would fare any better.
I'm of the opinion that the only realistic chance of an animated SatAM continuation actually feeling like SatAM would be if it was a fan-made project, helmed by people that are motivated by a love of the source material rather than profit.
Of course, a few months ago I considered the prospect of Sea3on being decently animated a hopeless pipe dream, yet now I'm eagerly awaiting the July release of the demo. What do I know?

I'm happy with the idea of an animated Season 3. It's also internet-only, but it isn't that much of a "show" to need a regular schedule.
