@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

I always though Mobius is really really big.

If we take some physics facts like Sonic can run FASTER than the speed of Sound 340.29 m/s

That means in around 200km / minute. Every stage have around 200km, and for example in Sonic The Hedgehog 2 have around 8 stages (deleting some like Death egg or wing fortress)

8 x 2 acts are 16 stages

Only South island is around 3200 km ( There is another fact like not all long 1 minute but its supposed that he is running without obstacles too).

Now count, South Island, Christmas Island, Angel Island, All the places of AosTH, all the places of Satam, all the places of Underground, all the places of most of the videogames, all the places of Mobius' Archie etc etc.

That crap I said doesn't mean anything at all, but at least to me give me the thought that Mobius is really big. In the big world, Robotnik can have infinite factories.

Also Sonic doesn't necessarily run in a straight line in the games. Though it appears that way, I've always thought the zones in the old-school games we're actually not linear, it was just gameplay mechanics that forced them to be that way.

Is what I said, is not really relevant what I said, but the sense of he run extremely fast but take a lot of time cross stages or run around the map in the shows, give me the feeling that Mobius must be really really big.

Don't forget that each continuity has a different depiction of the overall world:
  • In the games, Sonic is depicted living on an alternate Earth (as evidenced by the maps seen in "Shadow the Hedgehog", "Sonic Unleashed", and "Sonic the Hedgehog 4"), where he grew up on South Island.
  • In the Archie comics (and originally SatAM and possibly "Underground"), Sonic grew up in Mobotropolis on the planet Mobius, which is later revealed to be a post-apocalyptic Earth after an alien invasion.
  • In both the Fleetway comics and "Sonic X", Sonic grew up on South Island, but Mobius is described as a missing piece of the Earth that was thrown into another dimension after an unknown cataclysm.
I don't count AoStH as a separate entity since it hardly has any continuity to speak for. It's also revealed during the final episode that the entire series was fictional. They were just a series of stories and tall-tales told by Miss Saccharine to a bunch of children; which would explain the surreal setting and Robotnik's goofy depiction.

I did. It was worth it
Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

Yes, of course I don't forget it except about this one:

Already controled several factories, refineries and cities...I think is the answer you are looking for.

If we take for example places like Oil ocean zone (a big resource of oil for the robots), Chemical Plant or Scap Brain Zone, Metropolis Zone, Sky fortress (factories really big) I think yes...he can get a lot. The idea of recycling broken robots is another possibility, like he did on SA 1, recycling the useless gammas, why not broken robots?

Makes sense to me.

*studies the screenshot*
Hmm...that sounds familiar. Is that text from a game manual?

I'm translating the whole book with Hammer, thats why I have the scans of the books. The book have a lot of interesting stuff, so I post part of it if I find the answer on it.

Skylar sir, now we search for a professional physicist to answer our question. Only problem is, I don't think anyone here knows any. I vote we go to the nearest avaiable college and mingle like heck.

Why not check out my fanfiction?

Well, live force is usually depicted as energy. That's how the robots Dr.R makes from animals are able to maintain themselves running; because the animals inside are still alive. They just can't do anything about their condition, as Charles puts it. So, if Dr.R kidnaped the world's population of animals, other than the freedom fighters and a few others, of course, he would be able to tap into practically unlimited energy. With this unlimited energy, and with the ability to access other dimensions through the Cosmic Interstate, he may have all the metal he needs imported to him by others such as Eggman Nega from other dimensions. Eggman being Eggman, he obviously can do this, and the freedom fighters don't even know it's happening. Also take into account all the space junk Dr.R put into, well, space due to failed projects such as the death egg, which is pretty much the ARK space station, last time I checked. He may be recycling this metal. Of course, the SatAM Dr.R WANTS to live in a polluted world, so he wouldn't go around being a good heart, and picking up after Sonic. Instead, he'd harness energy from the animals, as I've said, and use this energy to maintain interdimentional portals open so that the import of metal can be possible. I'm most probably rambling, but hopefully someone can see the point I'm trying to get across...

Some of the people who post here can't understand anything unless it's some sort of extremely logical explanation related with physics and all the principles of quantum science, all intergrated into a fictional world. That response is whimpy in the eyes of some. At least try to give a reasonable, logical response. If you can't think of one, think of this: what if Dr.R were real?
