Flynn needs to be fired and the brass at Archie needs to be changed... End of discussion
Depends if those little cute stupid kids keep reading them. If so, then bye-bye SatAM characters. Oh, well. Who cares. Sonic Archie Comics sucks anyways. Maybe I should the head writer and not Flynn...
That's all for me. If anyone else want to post their own comments or don't want to... feel free to do so.

It's sad that several characters who have been around for years are being axed on such short notice for petty reasons, but it's not going to doom the series. As far as pure sales go, they could drop everyone but the Sega cast and likely do fine for awhile (whether that model would be sustainable in the long run is debatable). Would many fans, myself included, be outraged and stop reading the comic? Absolutely, but we're sadly in the minority.
On the bright side, the void left by Penders' characters might result in the SatAM gang receiving extra emphasis in the long-run. They're certainly due some right now.
On a side note, things like this make me all the more thankful for works like Sea3on. No legal drama, desire for profit, rigid deadlines, or pandering to the lowest common denominator. Just a story that a handful of very hard-working, talented, and passionate fans are focused on conveying. It's genuine art, while the official comic is doomed to forever be nothing more than a product. Thanks again to everyone involved.

Funny, not that long ago, people hated characters like Geoffrey St. John and wanted him to be killed off. And when that time came, people start complaining about it. Let's face it, the Sonic fanbase is way too fractured to be satisfied with anything. It's damned if you do, damned if you don't.

On the other hand however, Ian is wrong. While he says Fans can't do anything about it, they can. No matter what the outcome is, if the fans do not like it, Archie is finished. Fans will just stop buying there comics.
'Fan outcry' never cancelled it before, and it certainly didn't change any court decisions.

Can we give Penders the "Cell vs Westboro Baptist Church." treatment??
Really? Whatever you want too
And I truly think Ken Penders really want the Sonic Comic to go down in history for sure. Don't know why, maybe he's jealous of Ian Flynn or something.
BTW, i know Ken e-mail address

You know what Cell did, right??
Not really
I think his e-mail already been posted: kenpenders@kenpenders.com
Blame the publisher and the hack former writer that started this mess, not the guy having his own plans ruined by forces beyond his control.
I agree. You know, Ian Flynn may be a loudly writer, but I don't blame him. And yea Archie Comics is a disgrace. I think it's better if the Sonic Comics move somewhere else... like maybe Marvel or DC or somewhere else... agree?

Honestly, I think Ian meant something about us remaining mature towards the issue. Unfortunately, it seems like most are throwing a temper tantrum. I understand that these characters meant a lot to people, but everyone's reacting like it's the end of the world. It's 2012 all over again.
These characters are gone for good, and it wasn't done through a proper story, but Archie Sonic utterly removing them because they can.
I don't blame anyone for being ticked about this.
Because of Archie Sonic and Penders, several iconic comic characters will never return to the book again.
Funny, not that long ago, people hated characters like Geoffrey St. John and wanted him to be killed off. And when that time came, people start complaining about it. Let's face it, the Sonic fanbase is way too fractured to be satisfied with anything. It's damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Except he wasn't killed off. He was removed from the comic entirely.
I didn't like Geoffrey much either, but I felt if he was going to get removed, it should have been done through a noble sacrifice.

so its kinda official that they are gone?
Yea, I think this article pretty much confirms that unfortunately.
If someone hadn't watch twitter yet, carry some popcorns. You can see a show called "TSSZ vs Ian"
Heh... I get the feeling Ian doesn't want to answer something of importance.
Maybe because he's hiding a fact or two from us?

I have to agree. Personally, I like his writing and Im curious to see where things go, so when I see comments like, "I don't like his writing, the comic should be canceled," I don't know what to think. I mean, if you know your just going to hate the next issue or story arc, then why not move on to something else you can enjoy and let those who enjoy it enjoy it?

And wanting to see the comic just end... why not stop reading? I mean, it's still got it's share of readers that want to see where he takes things. If you feel it's gone to the point of no return, why keep coming back if you know your not going to like it?
Because if those people stop reading, they can't whine and complain about what's happening in the comic. I personally think it's because these people just wanna get themselves all pissed off about a comic book. They want to stand up on their soapbox, gather people around who will listen to their rants and make themselves feel like their opinion matters.
Some people just want to watch the world burn. Others just want to complain about a comic book aimed at kiddies.

"The Devil Inside is the new scam from director William Something Something. The movie stars actors and was edited on a computer. Somewhere. This movie is the latest film in a series of very low budget films designed to look like real movies! And be released in theaters to make a quick buck via a horribly off kilter budget to profit ratio that the general public seem to be stupidly unaware of! These films use to be called 'direct to video' but now they are called 'first run features'. These films then vanish from the theaters, like a rapist leaving the scene of a crime." - Mike Stoklasa of RedLetterMedia
