Wow! If this rumor is indeed true, I'm really excited about this!
From what I've read, it's like Sonic Team took the best ideas from their previous games and combined them all into one game:
* The Unleashed/Colors/Generations-style gameplay and graphics
* A variety of selectable characters with different skills that can unlock hidden routes, like in "Sonic 3 and Knuckles", "Sonic Adventure", and "Sonic Heroes"
* Multiple routes within levels which lead to different levels and bosses, similar to "Shadow the Hedgehog"
Let's just hope the story's good this time.
Needless to say, I'm hyped! But if this turns out to be another fake like "Sonic Dimensions", I'll be really upset.

Sadly, I only have a 3DS, so I have to deal with the mediocre Rush gameplay.
I'm sure the 3DS could make a game like this. It's quite powerful.
