That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

The internet is too big of a medium to forget. It might slip our mind every now and then, but we never truly forget it. It's like the Megaman series: It's old, it hasn't been updated in god knows how long and people do tend to forget about it's existance, but it's still there.

Glad you're taking the more traditional (and difficult) route with this project. Flash generally feels very clean, while SatAM's art style was dominated by a very dirty, textured look that I'm not sure would be possible outside of hand-drawn art (though I could very well be wrong; I know little about 2D animation). That grungy style is something I've only seen in a handful of other works, such as The Secret of NIMH, but it's absolutely gorgeous and makes the world feel much more lived-in and believable.

With that said, I would think that a project of this scope would require quite a few artists (not counting storyboards and concept art). What's the projected amount you're shooting for, once the promo is released and full production begins?

Well, I suppose that, at least, a certain part of the animation will be digital, right? I mean, at least scanning all the cels and putting them together should be digital.
