When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

on*

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

The full interview with Jamie is still being edited...It was kinda lengthy.  Hoping to toss that up soon though, or at least parts of it.

If you are going to the conventions and track us down you can see the promo animation.  However a internet release for said animation is not planned yet.  We have certain things we wish to do first (including video filmed at the conventions).   So.. Public internet release.. No date set for that.
Although things are coming along.

Is the public internet released going to be within the end of the month?

Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

been awhile since Ive lurked here, but Im glad things are really shaping up on this long awaited project.  Its still mind-blowing to think that it took 13 years of debating on fan animating season 3 that its finally coming to fruition.  I cant express how much I love this new generation of FUS.

Well we showed this off to people at Florida Super Con this weekend and got lots of positive reactions.  We are doing a few more touch ups on it over the next week prior to San Diego Comic Con..Then going to be showing people there it.

We are also in the process of making business cards for the comic its self.  A lot of the people we ran into loved SatAM but did not know of the Sea3on comic.   So instead of constantly reaching for a pen and paper... Business cards with links.  Got a QR code on them as well.

Yeah! The FUS Youtube Channel is now cover with dust. No new video was post since a while! You should really do that. Think about your subscriber (i'm subscribe to this channel).

I'm surprised that you chose to include only images from the flashback scenes. While Chapter 5 is the best looking one so far, the card doesn't show any of the characters from the original series save Robotnik, and even he's not in his usual attire. Given that the purpose of the cards is to attract new readers, I feel it important to emphasize the classic SatAM characters rather than ones created for the comic.

When I look at the card, it's instantly familiar only because I already follow Sea3on. The SatAM elements are more subdued, but those are the elements that newcomers are going to be interested in to begin with. The images shown just look like something set in the SatAM universe, rather than a direct follow-up to the show.

By comparison, I feel that the title page at the very start of the comic does a much better job of immediately getting across that this is the long-awaited third season of SatAM. It shows the two main characters from the show (plus Bunnie, for good measure), as well as the iconic red eyes that anyone familiar with the series instantly associates with the cliffhanger.

I feel that including any of those elements (or perhaps Snively wearing his cloak, which would also be associated with the cliffhanger) would make the card more recognizable and thus more effective. Even just putting the FUS logo with Sonic and Sally's heads in the bottom right would help.

I apologize if I come across as critical. I'm just trying to provide feedback, to offer another perspective that I hope helps in at least some small way.

While I do agree with Captain Sorzo, I don't think that the choice of images is bad either. It shows Robotnik in his Blast to the Past clothes, a SWATbot, and if you're not familiar with the comic, you'd swear that those are Sally and an aged Rotor.

I don't think that many people who aren't familiar with SatAM are going to be attracted to the comic...

Yeah...I think I would've gone for a picture of Sonic in there somewhere.  But in all honesty, while Sea3on tries to include new fans, it's mostly for SatAM fans.

Also I think it was a nice touch going with the flash back scenes to keep the card mostly uniform in color. A very nice touch indeed.

To clarify, by newcomers I meant people familiar with SatAM but not the Sea3on comic. Obviously someone that's never seen the show likely isn't going to be interested.

The main reason why we went for the most recent chapter is for a few reasons.
Of course it's the best artwork of the series so far. But also having the sepia tone in the background helps stand the logo out. Without clashing with colours.

We originally had the sonic sal logo in there but after adding the QR code into the card it got too crammed.
You see when you print these cards there is a border line issue where a part of the card may or may not be accidentally cut out in the trimming process.
So our design could have had part of the code and sonsal logo cut out. And by moving the logo in words to avoid that just left it far too cramped. One tricky part we were trying to avoid as well was to avoid covering up characters faces or text with logos. So had to balance around that.

And for the QR code.. Well people are lazy. They won't type in a address. Especially if they don't know of satam to begin with. However everyone these days generally have a smart phone with a QR reader. You do that it brings them directly to the comic.

Annd finally these cards are going to be mostly handed out to people watching the promo animation we have. At comic con and as well as the sega arcade. Soo the general amount of people we are showing and handing these too will have at least some idea of sonic and satam. It's a targeted sales pitch.
