@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

Captain Toad Treasure Tracker
8/10

Decent puzzle game, though only one stage left me stumped. If you're looking for something a bit different, go ahead and check it out.
It is kinda slow though, and even the fast paced puzzles require you to take a moment to explore your surroundings.

Butt Butt - Butt out of Butt

The hype for this butt is well deserved. Besides a few butts that may be TOO butt, this butt is desgined amazingly. The butt, butts and butts are appealing, not because it's butt, like many other butts, but because it's just fucking butt. The only butt I see is that I was unable to support this butt in the first butt. Despite that, I'm glad I got this butt, and I really look forward to the future butt.

Please, butt this game if you love any butts, it's up there with Super Butt World, Butt 3 and Butts and Butt Origins.

Super Mario Galaxy - 10/10

An expertly crafted platformer, aside from the BULLSHIT purple coin missions. And also the first classic 3D Mario game I did a 120 star run on.

Kirby's Dream Land 2: 7/10

It's a very solid game, but the Rainbow Drop items can be a little too difficult to obtain (especially the world 6 one), the bosses tend to have too much health, and the final boss is ridiculous. It also adds very little to what the series had already done with Kirby's Adventure; the three animal companions are the only significant new component, and they came at the expense of much fewer abilities Kirby could copy than in Kirby's Adventure.

It's still a pretty solid game, though. It's just the only reason to play this instead of Kirby's Adventure (or Kirby Super Star) is you want to take it on the road with you, which isn't a relevant concern now that we have NES and SNES emulators for mobile devices.

I despise Kirby's Dreamland 2 with a passion. It's hideously slow, and I have to go too far out of my way for the Rainbow Drops.
If you want a good portable Kirby game, you need Squeak Squad, Super Star Ultra or Triple Deluxe.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker - 7/10

While cutesy and easy looking at first, this game slowly became annoying and frustrating over time. Best in VERY short bursts.

Kid Icarus: Uprising - 10/10

Holy shit, I love this game now! To take the type of humor you'd see in a Paper Mario/Mario and Luigi game and mix it with a crazy shooter like this is so awesome. I do understand that the controls are kinda shitty, but I got used to them quick. And the hand cramps never got too severe.

Then again, I'm not surprised I love this game so badly. The same person, Masahiro Sakurai also did Smash Bros and Kirby, and I love both those series.

Evolve: 8.5/10

Great co-op game when your a hunter and working with 3 other players. As the monster it all about keeping away from the hunters, eating the wildlife and retching stage 3 asap.

Kirby 64 - The Crystal Shards - 7/10

A really good Kirby game other than two big flaws. Most of the Shards you have to collect involve using a specific power combination (you can combine two different powers in this game) and most of the combinations SUCK. The ohter is that Kirby can now only fly for a little bit, making platforming MUCH more stressful.

Hand of fate is an interesting beast of a game.  It combines Collectible Cards and Dungeon Crawling.  Each card laid out on the table represents an event during your quest.  It could be a monster, chance meeting of a shop or an ally, or even traps and locations.  While the equipment that you draw throughout your adventure, encounters with traps and enemies are just as based on your skills as a player as drawing the right cards.

The downside I've noticed is that no matter what setting I put my graphics on it looks....off.  There is also a huge slow down in combat if there is more than one enemy moving around on screen.

If the game is on sale you could consider getting it, but I wouldn't get it at full price and I wouldn't get it if you have a slow computer.

Mother 3: 8/10. Probably would have been a 10/10 if I'd played it many years ago, back when I was more tolerant of RPGs. But while the story is top-notch, the gameplay leaves something to be desired.

Heroes of the Storm: no score. I can't figure out what to make of this game. It's my first MOBA, and probably the gentlest introduction to the genre out there, and I really, really suck at it. I think the game's content is too expensive, too. $10 for a single hero? At least they're not all priced like that. Heck, if you only want a few heroes, you can probably get 'em all for free.

It's also too team-based for my taste. I prefer my success or failure to be on my own merits. It's more fun with friends, of course.

Still, it's pretty fun to play. But I feel compelled to play a little more each day than I'd care to just to get all my current f2p heroes up to level 5 before they rotate out at the end of the week. Though I suppose that problem will go away once the weekly rotation has heroes I've already leveled up...

Try League, sure its Team-oriented but you're in charge of the lane you pick and you fail, you pay for it.

This is where MOBAs fall short for me.  I'm not big on playing games with random people.  I'd rather play only with my friends (usually not enough players) or play alone (no single player mode in MOBAs).

Borderlands The Pre-Sequel (PS3): 8/10

Keeping in mind that I -love- Borderlands & Borderlands 2, this game delivers more twisted humor, more insane missions, more things to shoot, cryo weapons, and LASERS!  It also delivers messed-up gravity, but that's not surprising given that most of the game takes place on Elpis (which is Pandora's moon).  Messed up gravity can be fun; it can also result in accidental trips into the lava :o  Kinda fun playing a Wilhelm too; Nisha has more amusing comments tho'.  Haven't tried Claptrap yet, but I think he's a joke character anyway.

{Update: Holy Crap!  Claptrap is actually FUN to play!  I've even beaten the main storyline with him..."joke character" my butt!  It was kinda funny the first time when the game asked you 3 times if you -really- wanna play as Claptrap before letting you choose him, but that's gonna get old in a hurry.  Wasn't very impressed with Athena, but I'm not keen on defensive-style characters to begin with.}

I'm pretty sure i already reviewed Persona 4: The Golden but i'm doing it again now that I have it myself.

Persona 4: The Golden- 9.5/10 The story is a little lackluster compared to Persona 3 but the characters are soooo much better. Plus Bear-puns

Bloodborne is demon/dark souls in everything but name, I'm withholding my review score till I get furthering in the game, the online is fixed, or they patch the long load times. Still it's the killer app the ps4 needs.

Blackthorn for the PC.

It's a Cover Based Cinimatic Platformer.  It is really fun but it can get reeeeeaally slow.
