When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

Halo Reach: 7/10

Halo Anniversary: 5/10

Halo 2: 3/10

Halo 3 ODST: 6/10

Halo Wars: 7/10

I've recently gotten a large Halo collection, as I didn't have them before...

Reach is too low...

So is Anniversary...

And so is Halo 2....

ODST never existed.
ODST is the freaking best one.

Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

Tropic Freeze is quite better specifically in multiplayer.  The originals are rather good, but not as good in multiplayer as you still take turns.

This is why I want online play in games like Mario 3D World.

Between the two, I'd rather have local before online. Both is good. But financially speaking as a fan, local multiplayer is more appealing.

I agree wholeheartedly, but I'd prefer the option than just one or the other, particularly if that option can't be used.

Pokemon Trading Card Game Online:

Better with friends. The A.I. sucks it up a lot. Like repeatedly removing your energies so you can never build up enough to attack or return your Pokemon but never building up their energies enough for a trade out of Pokemon or to use a different attack. So you get stuck.... forever.

Hearthstone: It's hard for me to compress my feelings into a number, so I'm not even gonna try.

First, it's free to play, so it's not as if you lose much if you don't like it. But, like most free-to-play games, you need to put money into it -- a lot of money -- if you don't want to grind for hours and hours and hours on end. Playing for free, you can expect to make about 50 gold per day, which means one booster pack every two days or one Arena entry every three days. $50 will get you 40 boosters (200 cards, at least 40 of which will be rare or better) and even that won't necessarily grant you a decisive edge. I heard of one guy who spent like 150 euros on boosters and being rather unhappy with how many cards were still missing from his collection despite such a large investment. This is equivalent to several years of grinding.

This might be more understandable in a game like Magic Online where cards you get in boosters can be traded, giving them some value outside of the game itself, but a Hearthstone card is good for nothing other than putting it in your deck or using it to craft other cards. There also aren't many Hearthstone tournaments where you can win money or other real-world prizes.

This game practically invites comparison to Magic: The Gathering. How does it stand up? Well, it's certainly a smoother playing experience than the Duels of the Planeswalkers games (Magic 2015 and its ilk), to say nothing of the disaster that is Magic Online. But it's also a much less sophisticated game. The text on the cards is rarely anywhere near as creative as the stuff on Magic cards. On the other hand, this does make it easier to play the game without your head exploding.

Some have said Hearthstone is checkers and Magic is chess, and while it's a crude comparison, I don't think it's a bad one. And while the game is fun to play, I still wish it didn't take so long to grind, or that you'd get more bang for your buck if you spend real money on it.

This also the equivalent of buying actual trading card booster packs.  Booster packs are designed to be random selections, you could potentially spend hundreds of dollars and never find a rare card.  With a video game, the random encounter of rare cards could be 100 times as rare.

Yeah, but with physical trading cards, or even Magic Online cards, you can trade them and sell them and whatnot. You can also use them in tournaments to help you win prizes. Hearthstone cards don't have any of these uses. (While there are Hearthstone tournaments, they're currently rare. I haven't heard of a recent one except for Blizzcon.)

True, and I don't know this guy's full story.
But still, trading cards are an expensive hobbie. You could spend hundreds and never get a rare card.

Kirby's Return To Dreamland - 10/10

Almost on the same level as Super Star. I'll even have people to play with on my vacation next week.

8/10. While you can select multiple characters, one person has to be Kirby, and the others play like Kirby with a permanent power up. Also the stages and power ups just aren't as memorable as say Kirby 64, or Superstar, or even nightmare in Dreamland

Almost perfect, if it weren't for the fact that they shit all over Battle Mode.

Governor of Poker 2: 5/10

It has a very amateurish look and feel and a ludicrous "story", and the AI is easy to run circles around even at the alleged "pro" difficulty (but I'm still early in the game). Still, it's better poker than you'll find in Telltale's Poker Night series, though, unfortunately, not nearly as entertaining.

I'm kinda addicted to it regardless, not because of any positive qualities it has but because I'm a stubborn old poker player and I don't want to back down from some stupid video game.

Shovel Knight - 8/10

Dang this game is really good, considering it's an indie game getting an 8/10.

Great music, although a lot of the songs are repeats at different pitches or "instruments" (it is NES styled music so more like different beep sounds).

The gameplay is great. The story is entertaining.

It's downfall is the difficulty everyone claims it has. Sure it has difficulty but it's faked difficulty, the entire difficulty lies in the lack of being trained into something. You don't know how enemies work so you think they're hard, but every enemy, even the bosses, once you see it once or twice become so patterned you can beat them easily, most enemies without damage, most bosses with minimal damage. King Knight and Tinker Knight I can beat without being damaged. Also you get placed in a lot of situations where there are too many enemies you can't dodge all of them, but that's later in the game where you already have used health upgrades so unless something goes terribly wrong you won't even be losing half of your health in those situations.

The only bosses that ever killed me more than the first time I entered the arena with previous damage and no idea how to fight them was Polar Knight and the final boss as they both have instant death attacks.

Spoiler

Maybe I'm just really good at the game... (that can't be right anyone whose seen Aw Crack knows different)
