Still my favorite RTS of all time, now with prettier graphics and stuff.

Rich Evans just said on Pre-Rec that Mass Effect 3's ending turned the entire series into a funeral march.

Hands down, the best Guitar Hero game. Even if it has nothing to do with Guitar Hero.

"Everyone creates the thing that they dread. Men of peace create engines of war. Invaders create Avengers. People create... smaller people...? CHILDREN! (chuckles) Lost the word there..."

Very reminiscent of Super Star. In a good way. Cool new powers, excellent level design, a villian with at least SOME plot to her, and best of all, HyperNova Kirby
Or as I like to call it, Spaceballs Kirby:
The Kirby Fighters game also serves as a nice tease for Smash Bros 3DS.

Mario Kart 8 10/10
Beautiful graphics, excellent gameplay, great variety of tracks, old and new (SNES Doughnut Plains, N64 Rainbow Road), you can choose your kart and parts, like in MarioKart 7. new items (boomerang, lucky 8, pirahna plant, super horn (goodbye blue Spiny Shell)) 30 characters to choose from

Not actually that bad. It genuinely feels like an NES game, mostly thanks to the amazing music, and the difficult, but fun gameplay mechanic of alternating between side-scrolling, space shooter, and top-down shooter AT THE SAME TIME. It's not frustratingly hard either.
Something I'd only recommend for hardcore NES or Regular Show fans. Otherwise, wait for a discount like I did.

Civilization V 8/10... but i'll mention the Mod of Ice and Fire
just as good as the normal game with the added bonus of being able to march across Westeros as any of the 7 houses and other characters. haven't tested this but i think you can use them on normal, random maps too.

I had a quick look at that game on YouTube and there is nothing remotely "8-bit" about those graphics. That there is a visually 16-bit game, through and through, with the exception of certain sprites such as the arbitrarily blocky and uncolorful snails. The music is authentic 8-bit, at least, but that just clashes all the more with the 16-bit look.
I forgot to mention that I didn't like the graphics. While the game is well made, for WayForward standards, it's a quick cash grab.

So Ubisoft has tied Watch Dogs in with Assassin's Creed with several Easter Eggs.

Dorf Fortiss 8/10
Such Dorf. Much hard. Wow.
I've been keeping up with my trend of playing things that aren't even remotely recent, so I started playing Dwarf Fortress. A good, long time later, I can't get off of it. After the initial confusion of why-wont-you-dorfs-get-in-the-damn-mountain, it gets really engaging. Not to mention if your fortress meets a crazy end, you can just go Adventure and find it, every bit intact, except for the bits that massive horde of gabblinz/elfz/elephants/zambie carp (Oh god the horror) smashed up, or the parts you decided to flood with lava for the lulz. You can play it in ASCII like nature intended, or get a tileset (you wimp), either way, you better know what that fast-approaching n with a squiggly above it is, or else you'll be dying endlessly. But remember-Losing is fun!

To The Moon: 9/10
This game is great, if you like games for their stories, and not their gameplay. The game plays closer to those old point and click games, or a more modern reference would be it plays like the Back to the Future Game. You find the stuff you need, by clicking on them, and as you find them story events unfold.
In this game you play two scientists whose job is to make dreams come true. You do this by going to them on their death bed and altering their memories. As the title states your clients Dream is to go to the moon.
You experience the client, John Wyles's life in reverse as you traverse to his childhood from being an old man through his memories.
The only flaws are in one memory you are asked a trivia question about a real book, (which I'd never read, so I had to google it) but it turns out whoever made the game, didn't remember the trivia question correctly because the answer isn't actually right.
The other flaw is they introduce some traits to Watts, (one of the two scientists you play) that make him appear bad, but also serve no purpose to the story. They're just mentioned once, then forgotten about till the end scene, which barely mentions it also. (The only purpose I've picked up on for this trait is to make Watts look bad, so Rosalene (the other scientist) who is very boring have something going for her.)
For a sec I thought you were giving it negative 11 out of 10.
Rogue Legacy: 6/10
Tries to be the next Spelunky and fails spectacularly. This game is a grindfest. Skill isn't anywhere near as important as grinding. Then when you finally beat the game and can start a New Game+... you get to do more grinding! Yay! The upshot is little skill is involved. It's all about what level you're at. What fun is that??
I'd have to disagree. I give Rogue Legacy a 9/10.
The game is very skill based. You don't notice because of the level system. But I've restarted (not a new game + but made a new profile to start over) and I can kill the first boss on my first guy.
The drawback is levels do play such a major role, and you can't level enough. My main profile is on new game +3, and I've maxed out every piece of the manor and bought every armor and rune I've found, and the enemies still kill you easily. (Entering the forest on New Game + 3 even with max stats the enemies practically kill you in a single hit). But hey, that drawback doesn't really hit until you can't level up anymore. It also sets it up so only skill can make you progress through the rest of the game.
