Review The Last Game You Played

You Don't Know Jack (2011 edition): 10/10
It's everything You Don't Know Jack ought to be. My only complaint is the PC version is neglected -- no gamepad support, and there is a critical bug that needs to be fixed (you cannot get the Wrong Answer of the Game if you're Screwed, and at no point does the game tell you this) and I know we're never going to see a fix for it, plus the game's DLC has never been released on PC. So as a PC port I'd give it maybe 7 or 8 out of 10, but as a game it's still 10/10.

9/10
If you have a vita and you are an Uncharted fan you should get this game. The visuals are amazing, the music is outstanding and very fitting, the storyline is great, and the controls are beautiful, providing both easy to use buttons but also including features that make use of the vita's touch screen, motion controls and light sensitivity.
Does it justify a vita, no, but if you have a vita you should get this game.

A rather oversimplified view of politics. Just play like a stereotypical tax & spend Democrat and you'll win. Unless you bump up the difficulty real high, in which case you'll have a hard time scrounging up the money to get anything done at all. Either way, for all the game's many policies you can create/cancel/adjust and all the complex formulas that determine the outcome, it seems there's not all that much to it.

Hands down, my favorite Zelda game.

"Everyone creates the thing that they dread. Men of peace create engines of war. Invaders create Avengers. People create... smaller people...? CHILDREN! (chuckles) Lost the word there..."

SoulCalibur V: 7/10
This game is both the worst and best SoulCalibur ever. It's the worst because it cuts out a lot of well known and loved characters, has a very bland story that follows the children of Sophita (so if you care about any of the other characters prepare to be disappointed), and tries to too hard to be the next generation of SoulCalibur fighters without actually introducing anybody.
However the Story mode, though a little bland is actually a fairly decent attempt at a story for a fighting game. While nowhere near the epics that were Mortal Kombat and Injustice, it's okay, the only real issue is that it's pretty predictable and limited. The Character Customization is a large improvement over IV and is rather enjoyable.
What the game does in improve on some aspects (story, character customization, Online Play....I guess...never tried it) but lets a lot of other stuff slide into obscurity (Older Characters, Newer Characters, Arcade mode with endings). You could say it ultimately is "meh".

Just Got Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Wii.
First Impressions: Metroid Prime 6/10
I'm sure it's the controls on the Wii and not the original version but I think it's broken. I can't get the stupid scan to work. I follow the steps (press the "-" button) and it doesn't activate. I dunno if it's my controller, the game, or just the Wii port of the game, but it's frustratingly maddening specifically when I'm trying to activate elevators when the station is blowing up. Also I'm disappointed that so far there is no dialog at all. I know a lot of people prefer this to the monologue from Other M but supposed dramatic scene when Ridly shows up for the first time came of more of Samus saying "Aw shewt" instead of being actually surprised/upset/angry or whatever. A silent protagonist is good if other characters can play off that or they have facial expressions to show their mood. Samus is too developed for me to feel like I'm the Player Character and to have her not even gasp during scenes (just snap her fingers like she's slightly annoyed) really breaks me from the game.
Other than those two issues, the graphics look good (though a bit dated now) and the gameplay that works (shooting, rolling, blowing crap up) is really fun.

You find the GameCube Version that isn't overpriced on the internet. ![]()
Also since I've never really played any Metroids before other than Other M I didn't even know if I'd like it.

South Park: Stick of Truth (halfway point): 9.5/10. Its a giant South Park episode but even better. The humor just never stops. Gameplay has a paper Mario feel to it

Final verdict: South Park: The Stick of Truth 9.25/10. The humor is always there. Never a dull moment. Great gameplay but the main story is WAAAAAY to short.

Aside from some bullshit, like the final boss, this is an excellent game. Now, should I get Pikmin 2 or 3 first?
