@  furrykef : (25 July 2015 - 03:35 AM)

When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

on*

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

It justifies getting a Neo-Geo.

Or any of the ports.

Magicka 8/10

Great game. Awesome Co-op. Awesome Graphics. Awesome game mechanics. Goofy plot. Cartoony personalities. What's not to like?

Oh yeah, one of the last bosses has a glitch that can make him unbeatable.

Otherwise we can call it good.

Sam and Max: Abe Lincoln Must Die!: 10/10

Solid point-and-click gameplay combined with ingenious comedic writing.

Sturmwind (Dreamcast): First Impression.

I finally got my brand new copy of Sturmwind, a new exclusive title for the Dreamcast. It's a spaceship shooter with good control and outstanding visual! The game don't seem to do anything revolutionnary, but what it does, it does it well. Then, why we should care? First, because a new title for the Dreamcast is always awesome and second, because it's a good game with visual that make the power of the Dreamcast justice.

Please, Good help me while I'm writing this out...

Sonic The Hedgehog

When you hear this name, you probably think of "the blue dude with the 'rude". You would be correct. Sonic The Hedgehog is about a hedgehog who runs around to stop Dr. Robotnick from... Wait... His name isn't Robitnick anymore. Ah, yes, I forgot about this. He's referred to add Dr. Eggman now. Which come to think of it, I was talking about the wrong game entirely, which brings me to the first point in this review: why in the hell would you taint the glorious name of Sonic The Hedgehog? Why?

So, if you're ever planning on playing this game, Good have mercy on your soul. You may also not want to read this review, because it has massive spoilers.

Okay, so Silver is fighting off this demonic being called Iblis. Silver makes short work of him, and stays complaining that defeating Iblis is a never ending task. This being called Mephelis (don't know if I spelled it right) tricks Silver, without much effort, into believing Sonic is the cause of the destruction of the world. So he goes into the past to kill Sonic.

So, while that is happening, Princess Elise is kidnapped by Dr.Eggman, who by the way looks like Mermaid man if he were taller and had a spandex suit. Through the entire game, Elise us kidnapped 4 times, and rescued 4 times. Geez, and I thought Mario was a terrible babysitter for P. Peach.

Shadow is somehow now working for GUN, even though they were the very corporation that was attacking Shadow in Adventure II, and in his own game, Shadow The Hedgehog. Now, I can understand Shadow going to save Rouge, having worked with her in Adventure II.

I'm not going to say/explain the entire plot because it just gets too complicated. Instead, I'll just take the major points, and point them out.

Shadow:

there isn't really much to say about Shadow's episode that's bad, except for the veichles. A hand glider, a motor bike, a hovercraft, and a sort of armored car. Just like in Halo, they are all conveniently placed right where Shadow needs them, which is extremely odd. Regardless, other than the cars and such, there's not much about Shadow that ruins the game. Other than his running animation. It is absolutely terrible.

Silver:

Story wise, Silver's campaign isn't that terrible, I honestly found the gameplay cool too. However, Silver is so slow, that the game uses Blaze for the speed sections rather than Silver. Also, if you don't upgrade Silver, most of his normal attacks are practically useless. 9/10, you'll find yourself holding a box or something of the sort to throw it at the enemy.

Sanic: Eww. He runs with his arms to his side for some reason. In some parts of the game, Sonic uses a snow board. He's freaking Sonic The Hedgehog! He can run faster than the board can ever dream to take him. He randomly thought of taking a cruise through Crisis City, which by the way is split in four sections with loading screens. He also falls in love with P. Elise, who by the way gets kidnapped and rescued a total of 4 times. Geez, and I thought Mario was a terrible babysitter. sonic also dies, and was revived through the power of the chaos emeralds. Oh, wait, that's right, Elise kissed Sonic, and that's how Sonic cane back to life. Has anybody seenbthe movie Sleeping Beauty? Anyways, that is practically the only significant thing that Elise does thought the entire story.

And then, this demonic, god-like creature is born, and Sonic, Shadow, and Silver make short work of the beast. Then, to top it all off, the most... Just read.

Elise walks up to the Flame of Hope (Which would later be known as the flames of disaster) and blows it out. What's so bad about this? IT DELETES THE ENTIRE GAME FROM THE CANON FRANCHISE!!! You see, before blowing out the flame, Elise explains that if the flame were to go out, Elise and Sonic would never meet. Thank the lord it happened. But then again, what was the f*****g point of playing the game if it never happened!?

Then again, if that happened (but technically didn't happen at all, why did Crisis City make an appearance in Sonic Generations?

Now the game had potential. It had a lot of potential. But SEGA blew it. The game... Well... No.

Sonic The Hedgehog (2006):

4/10

4 out of 10? You're very generous! I think this game was designed as a torture tool or something. There's so much to said about the overall mediocrity of this game. But i've find a review that really make this game justice:

Sonic 06 was a mistake that Sega apologized about. It had a lot of promise but it was just so terrible

Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

FIRST THOUGHTS

Star Wars Dark Forces - Uh...I can't Rate this one.  I can't figure out how to open doors so at the moment I'm stuck....stupid Old School DOS games.

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II - 7/10 - This game is pretty fun but it gets really difficult because I seem to lack a health bar and ammo bar so I don't know when I'm close to getting killed.

Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast - 8/10 - I haven't played the PC version in a while but the Xbox Version is pretty good but I feel I'm lacking the controls.  The game was designed to use a keyboard to play.

Star Wars Jedi Knight III:  Jedi Academy -9/10- Yeah I know everyone believes this to be the weakest entry in the series but I've enjoyed this one the most.  There are only two downfalls: 1) Speeder Bike Controls are garbage.  You can't turn fast very well but enemies drive circles around you and your bike's main gun is kind of bad to aim.  Your other attack choices include a lightsaber which doesn't have enough rage and a blaster which is even worse aiming then the bike's gun.  2) I have a large amount of force powers which I can't use properly.  The game uses the keyboard and the mouse well but all my force powers are F1-F12.  When I'm being attacked I have to either let go of the mouse (causing me to be unable to aim) or the WASD keys (causing me to be unable to move) to use them.  I know I can change what keys they are, but there is no Better place for them either as most of the keys are already being used for weapons and combat forms.

I have Star Wars Dark Forces on the PS1. The frame-rate is lower than the PC version, but i'm surprise how they manage to make the game playable (we all know the reputation of the FPS on console of that time).

I played the Playstation version a few times when I was younger.  That's why I got it on Steam.

However I can't look up my controls and nobody in game told me them so.....I stuck.

Downloaded Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II The Sith Lords off of Steam.

Then Modified it with the Restored Content Mod (ver. 1.8.2 or something to that extent).  So far I haven't noticed any major differences 'cept that my party members don't magically align Dark Side after a loading screen like the regular PC version.  That's a plus.

Empire: Total War -- eh, maybe 7/10. I bought it mainly for the American Revolution campaign, but the way it was designed was incredibly lazy. You start off as the Americans in the Boston region (this consists roughly of Massachusetts and New Hampshire) and Britain has control of everything else along the east coast from Canada to Florida (save for a small, nearly irrelevant French settlement in the north). I think if anything remotely like that had happened in real life, there wouldn't have been very much of a war.

-The Last of Us (PS3) (First Impression)

So far, not bad at all. The graphic are very nice.....but at a cost: the frame-rate (it's not hight). The color look great, some texture seem poor here and there but not a big issue. As far as i see, the presentation and voice acting look great so far. Just like i did with Far Cry 3 before, the Last of Us is a game where i want to select the english (VO) version instead of the VF (my PS3 is set in french, so my game are set in french by default). With the half-hour of gameplay, i saw a surprisingly good introduction (much better than i thought), some small shooting sequence and infiltration.

I'll probably come back in the next few days, after i've played some more for a complete review.

-Chernobyl Commando (PC): 2.5/10

This is a game from Russia.....probably programmed by a lot of Vokda drinker retarded! This is a typical story of terrorist who are doing terrorist stuff. They taken over Chernobyl and want money, or else they blow stuff up. You play as a commando, who do commando stuff (spoiler: killing bad terrorist). The graphic are HORRIBLE, with a shit-ton of pop-in, performance issue, ugly 3d model and shitty looking texture.

The game itself is just a shitty FPS at best, fill with totally pointless rail-shooter sequence, the shittyness of this monstrosity of programming never seem to end. Everything is poorly executed. Saying how much this game sucks is not even enough to describe this game. It's just hard to imagine how this game could have possibly been released in 2013! I'll show you the trailer (if anyone have the courage to watch this). It's may not look TOO bad from the trailer, but when you actually play it.....it's just, yurk!
