I think this short film is pretty good
I wonder if Sega watching the film or not. If so,
OH! As for Knuckles, his voice didn't sound quite good to me. However, have most of you guys watch the anime call Samurai Champloo, the actor who play the english version of the character Mugen. He also did the voice of Spike on Cowboy Bebop. That voice should be knuckles. Right?
Without a doubt better then the... *ahem* "movie" we would of gotten from Sonmanic if he could have been bother to man up and actually do it instead of dropping the project every 5 seconds and "leaving the fandom forever" multiple times. Then again, I had the misfortune of actually reading his fanfiction... I mean "script" and it was so bad I think it gave me cancer.
Tell me about, every time I read his script... I just feel like I want to laugh to death!

I just wanted to tell you that the hardest thing I've faced
Wasn't the teasing or the pain
It was convincing myself I wasn't stupid, strange, or lame
And helping others do the same.

Well from what I can gather he went about the usual pattern for a while, that is to say ebegging fans to fund his movie without throwing money into it himself, quiting it, starting it back up, quitting it again, starting back up again and finally quitting it for good. While doing that he would also quit the fandom because people called him out on his bullshit, saying he was "leaving forever" only to come back. Everytime he did this he would say things along the lines of that all Sonic fans suffered from autisum and he was one of the very few who didn't. Keep this in mind because this is the same asshat who flew off the rails when Sonic the Hedgehog 4 was announced, saying the game was ruined and would suck because Sonic's eyes were going to be green in the game. Granted I found the game shit, but not because of green eyes.
Anyway, after finally leaving the fandom for good this time, he needed another fandom to latch onto, so he joined the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic fandom. And to the best of my knowledge, they probably don't know the whole story behind him, but in all honesty, they can have him. He does very typical things, like taking a video camera into a Toys R Us, videoing all the new Pony toys and jizzing in his pants at the sight of them, because little plastic ponies aimed at 5-9 year old girls excite this 30+ year old manchild.
Oh, and he also has a fetish for pretending to be a baby, complete with oversized crib and diapers. Too each their own, you know, but when upload videos of yourself doing this shit on Youtube, and especially when you upload a video that shows you are going into the outside world to public gatherings, where there are child running about and playing, and you are actually wearing nothing but a diaper and then try to justify it saying it's a "piece of clothing", then you have serious issues. Seriously, he is like Chris Chan v2.0 and he calls people like us "autistic".
I'm seeing such negative reviews of this everywhere... like on Sonic Stadium and Sonic Retro... geeze I thought it was pretty good... yeah it needed a little tweaking but... what the hell? What's with all the hate?... what was so bad about this? I really can't figure it out.
I guess it's probably down to the fact they were expect something truely amazing. They were expecting like The Dark Knight of Sonic, it had to be perfect in every aspect no matter what and what most of them forgot to realise that this wasn't a big studio movie with $250million thrown behind it with a big name director and ILM doing the visual effects. That and because there's so many different Sonic continuities which differ to each other, fans were expecting their favourites characters or elements to show up. Seriously I read a comment on Yotube from someone who hated it because Sally wasn't in it. Clearly a die hard Sally fan who believes that if it's a Sonic project and Sally isn't involved, then it's shit no matter what.
Or then again, it might just be down to personal opinions.
"The Devil Inside is the new scam from director William Something Something. The movie stars actors and was edited on a computer. Somewhere. This movie is the latest film in a series of very low budget films designed to look like real movies! And be released in theaters to make a quick buck via a horribly off kilter budget to profit ratio that the general public seem to be stupidly unaware of! These films use to be called 'direct to video' but now they are called 'first run features'. These films then vanish from the theaters, like a rapist leaving the scene of a crime." - Mike Stoklasa of RedLetterMedia

What I never understood about that is why he did not consider making it a webcomic rather than a movie. He cited lack of funding as a reason. But here's the thing that always gets me; that Nicochi cat supported him, right? Rather vocally as I seem to recall. Now say what you will about his personal character and sadly there are volumes that can be said about it if you are so inclined but his skill as an artist was of undeniable brilliance, don't you reckon? So there you have an option that would have cost him nothing in a financial sense and into the bargain been drawn by someone whose conviction was not only behind the project 100 percent but happened to be quite the artist. Whether the actual story brought to life through the visuals proved successful or not, it would definitely have been something to see. Seems like a real no-brainer to me...

Haters are gonna hate
or Naysayers are gonna persistently Naysay. Take your pick

I hate Sonmanic as much as the next guy, but I can sympathize with him on this. Sometimes artists get this big vision and they feel it only works in a particular medium. I've had different projects (way too many projects...) which "want" to be graphic novels, plain old novels, webcomics, live-action films, cartoon films... different media have different strengths. I have one project that's not really working, in part because it partly wants to be a novel and partly wants to be a film. Also, a webcomic just isn't as "epic" as a film... not just anyone can get a film made, whereas anyone can make a webcomic (so long as they're persistent enough). Where Sonmanic got tripped up was he didn't realize he was "just anyone".What I never understood about that is why he did not consider making it a webcomic rather than a movie.

Hmm, well a webcomic takes much more than persistence. What it needs (as all successful undertakings do) is a combination of all the right stuff. In this case, that would be enough determination to make the whole thing happen and an artist talented enough to make the final product not suck. Even though a webcomic wasn't what he longed for, it could have been a chance to salvage something worthwhile out of the whole affair, for a different breed of phoenix to rise from the ashes of five years spent trying to get this thing off the ground. It could have been something special. If it were me, I would probably have given it a shot. Then again, perhaps all he wanted was to kick it in the head and move on by then. Five years, man...life's just too short...

My point was that anyone could make a webcomic, not that anyone could make a good webcomic.Hmm, well a webcomic takes much more than persistence.

Anyone can make a GOOD webcomic. It's just that nobody seems to have the attention span to do so.My point was that anyone could make a webcomic, not that anyone could make a good webcomic.Hmm, well a webcomic takes much more than persistence.

To Redauthar: Wait, what am I saying? You're the one who's right! You are! You! You!
To The Mysterious Traveller AKA myself: You know what? They're both right!

A shame though Doug Walker didn't get to speak in it like the AVGN did. I would have loved to hear his NC styled yelling and rhetoric while firing a machine gun at one of Robotnik's soliders.

Boy, is that the sad truth...

This pretty accurately describes Sonmanic, by the way.
