Something like that...
I heard of this scene before i got Xbox (which i got in '09) and when i got this game i knew what to expect. i never saw the scene itself but i heard of it. So when i saw this i was like: SEGA, WHAT THE F*** WERE YOU THINKING??? To this day i hate that scene and dont like talking about that game. That scene, the glitches and the controls made me not like this game. The story was good its just those 3 things that ruined it but that scene was the biggest for me. SEGA regretted that decision for making the scene and releasing the game before it was ready.

Someone will kill me...but...I don't see any wrong in that. Yes, zoophilia and necrophilia...I know...but well is just a cartoon. Is the story of a princess and prince just with the change that one of them are a hedgehog. The problem start when people mind cross the line and think things that well, you know.Keep it like an innocent classical kiss like I did and all will be ok.
I think years ago could be a nice reference and people could get it and laugh about it. But mind people nowdays is a bit corrupted. You don't ever think about Sonic-Elise is the typical princess-prince modern story? Just now the boy is "die" and the girl is the one who must kiss.
Like all, when I saw that was shocking, but in any case...never disgusting. The only things I find disgusting in a cartoon is pr0n and gore. A kiss it isn't pr0n.

Also I don't recall anyone reacting about Jessica Rabbit and Roger Rabbit, so....again it wasn't that big of deal.

My main problem with the kiss is that it was unnecessary. They have always shown Sonic as being WITHOUT romantic entanglements (In the games. I KNOW what sight I'm on.), but in this game suddenly there's a kiss? Well, if Sega suddenly wants this to be Sonic's new official relationship then...wait, she's not even MENTIONED again?! SO THE KISS WAS COMPLETELY POINTLESS?! ...sorry, I got carried away, but you get my point.

Actually I'd argue that. Being Anthropomorphic, Sonic is equally close to being human as he is hedgehog.

I viewed Shadow and Maria's relationship as something other then romance too...but some people have interpreted it that way and nobody seemed to care Maria was Human.I never really considered Maria and Shadow's relationship romantic...I mean, isn't she like a 12 year old girl or something?! I always considered them really good friends, with Maria acting like a surrogate mother to Shadow.

I saw Shadow and Maria's relationship as more of a Brother/sister/best friend one with Maria acting as a mother to Shadow
Also a Coyote (Ant') and a bunny (Bunnie) falling love isnt a bit strange either??

Sonic and Sally are ground animals and their species CAN mate with each other. I asked My 10th Grade Biology teacher this (and she asked why. I told her about Sonic and Sally, she laughed cause she thought it was funny, i was one of her favorite students) and they can.

Actually, that's not quite so. Squirrels are in the "Sciuridae" branch of the "Rodent" family (which also includes chipmunks, flying-squirrels, marmots, and prairie dogs). And despite Dr. Robotnik/Eggman calling Sonic a "rodent", hedgehogs aren't really rodents. Hedgehogs come from the "Erinaceomorpha" family, which are a completely different kind of insectivore.
In real life, these creatures can't mate due to their biological differences. Hedgehogs and squirrels are both "forest animals", but this doesn't mean they can breed with each other. But since Mobians are decedents of modern-day animals mixed with human DNA, it makes complicated things like interspecies-breeding easier to accomplish since there're several common traits between both couples.
As for a Human/Overlander relationship with a Mobian, it's never been explored yet (and I doubt it ever will). Since the Overlanders have a completely different evolutionary-lineage than the Mobians and their Human ancestors, I doubt they can breed with either one. But since ordinary Humans and Mobians share more common traits, it's possible that they themselves can breed with them.
Up until now, I just realized how creepy this topic has gotten.

Elise Kissed him. How does that mean anything for Sonic?
Through the game, you see sonic "falling" for elise, whether it be him saving her (minor) or the cursed "dreamy eyed" scene (RED ALERT) The kiss just pushes it over.
