Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

The last line Flynn says just makes my blood boil. Enjoy the comic for what it is? Yea, fat chance when alot of our favorite characters are getting treated like dirt!

How about this: We spam Penders's site's forums about this matter in favor of Archie

And another idea: Why not let Archie have rights to use the characters in there own way with the copyrights to Penders and Penders can still use "his characters" for his dumb works

I personally don't think so. I mean, with Flynn saying, "Arc wasn’t what I originally planned." that tells me this was something he was forced to do.

Now it's starting to make sense why this story arc is even here to begin with. It could be very well be it was done for no other reason to get rid of every single character Penders ever made.

But the way it sounds it looks like its permanent. Something tells me that Penders won...


That's what I'm starting to suspect myself.

Sheesh, what a mess Penders made. He just couldn't leave well enough alone.

he fucked it up. He just had to be an ass, and now look, characters that people actually like are now thrown into limbo, just because he had to be a douchebag.

That's it. One more fuckup, and I'm not sure if I'll read the comics anymore.

Apparently, I'm getting conflicting reports about this.

Another Sonic fan told me Archie won the case and are even reprinting the Knuckles comics now.

Question: Why did Penders leave in the first place? Was he fired or let go??


He actually quit after Ian was brought in from what I've been told. Archie was going to let him write the 2nd story of the book, but he wanted no part of that, so he left.

Maybe they made a split decision now. Archie can use Penders's "characters" with his consent and Penders can use them without problem. (probably best case scenario.)

Maybe all of them vanishing plot device. Whats the next issue and when thats supposed to come out

I honestly hope they're not gone for good. :C As much as Penders needs a Douche-ectomy (and some freaking drawing lessons... geez his art is BAD), I really liked his characters and a lot of the stories he wrote for the book. D: The Echidnas were some of my favorite characters, especially Julie-Su. If they've been permanently written out of the story, I will be a sad sad Sami.

By the way, I wouldn't use the term "win" or "lose" for either side of the case here. They settled. "Won" or "lose" means the judge declared one of them the winner, which didn't and will not happen. Unfortunately, we'll probably never know what the exact terms of the settlement are. I'm guessing Archie probably paid off Penders just to get the case over and done with and keep the characters.
