True, but until Sega reneges on their policies, I just don't ever see major changes when it comes to their characters. They're pretty predictable about their demands.

They can still hint at something for the future... other than Cream cause thats what everyone believes

Yea, I like to hint about it myself whenever I write a fic with Tails. He's too young for romance, but I don't see why his love life can't be somewhat explored. After all, he too has feelings and emotions.

As I stated before, I'm not the pairing type of person. But if I were to suggest someone for Tails to be partially attracted to, it would probably be someone who shares his same love for adventure and interest in inventions.

Cream is a common pick with most shippers, but she doesn't really share the same interests as him. Some don't mind him being paired with Amy, but Amy's too focused on Sonic to pay any attention to him. Some fans have even paired him up with Wave because of their common skills, but they're more like rivals rather than close friends.

Honestly, the only other character I can see him forming a relationship with is Marine the Raccoon. They're both sidekicks who hang out with their heroes, they love going out on adventures, and both have a knack with inventing vehicles.

Well, I know this is not the most popular of choices, but I really like Tails with Mina.

It just for some reason works for me.

Fiona and Nicole are a close 2nd and 3rd.

That whole relationship was the whole reason I ever watched Sonic X.

Maybe they should consider doing the Metarex saga, when they get better writers.

I suppose that is true. Like I said, it just works for me. Plus, I feel they might like each other if the comic didn't shove Mina onto Ash, a complete jerk. Not to mention the writers never even explored the possibility.

While Cosmo is sometimes boring (That might be the translation issues) I found the romance between her and Tails actually quite good. And they actually take time to build it. It's not just slapped in your face and unexpected.

While it's cute, Tails and Mina really don't show any feelings for each other, yet. So it's unexpected. I find it kinda forced.

Fiona appeared as a neutral character long before betraying the group. And she was a nice person up until the Scourge replacing Sonic thing. Actually her betrayal seems rather forced. I liked her better as good guy.

But, yes, in all honesty, their marriage in Mobius Years Later is very forced I'll admit. There need to be some explanation for how it happened.

I do too, but I also believe in redeeming one's self too. I would be all for Fiona finally realizing she seriously messed up going bad and wants to change.

But like I said, it will never happen under Flynn's pen. He's enjoying this role for her too much.

I thought she was rather dull and forgettable before. As a good guy, she hardly showed any personality and was only there to make Sonic look like a player. Her character was so bleak, you could giver her any personality and it would've stuck.

When Ken and I were first discussing M:25YL pairings, we talked about who Tails might marry, and I jokingly thought “Mina” since she’s pretty cute and her speed would remind Tails of his bestest bud, Sonic. Heh! We tossed it around a bit, then nixed it for a number of reasons, not just the age difference. We were just going to have Tails alone, with no reference to any family. When Ken got the completed issue, he was rather surprised to see Tails paired with [Mina]…yes, folks, it’s a Justin Gabrie revision, since this script (and the story in #139) were turned in before Mike took over. So please don’t blame Ken on that one.
