@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Good. I want Sally back to normal
Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

Well, I'm excited. This will probably be the best (and only good) crossover Sonic has ever had.

Posted Image I so love how the preview text of the 247. Finally rescue Mecha Sally?

You mean there's no more pathetic cat and mouse games with Team SegaSonic... err, I mean Team Fighters where she flies around and taunts them, but doesn't do anything to try and kill them? No more obvious stalling of Mecha Sally escaping their grasps to fight another day just to pad this story along longer for the sake of reaching a certain number?

Posted Image

But, in all seriousness, I will admit the cover is pretty cool looking.

Now if the story would actually match the art for a change...

I'll never understand why there's a story about a robotic/weaponized super robotic solider fighting Sonic and his friends if they weren't going to be a lethal force to reckoned with in the first place.

It was even more pathetic to watch than how those incompetent morons who watered down the Terminator cyborgs in the 3rd and 4th movies by making them toss around their opponents like rag dolls instead of actually trying to rip them in 2.

I know this is a kid's comic and all, but seriously, if they're going to hype up Mecha Sally as some fierce battle droid, THEN SHOW IT!

At least then it would be worth our time seeing Sally as a roboticized slave for now.

Obviously you've not been doing your research because:

A. The Sonic/MegaMan crossover starts in #248.
B. It states the Sonic/Megaman crossover starts in the next issue on the cover.
and C. The crossover is probably not cannon with the rest of the book.

And judging by the text preview, this is part 1. So with #248 being the crossover, we've gotta wait till #252 for the second part. It's most likely that #247 will end on a cliffhanger with something "terrible" happening to cause an uproar in the fandom. The fandom has to wait 4 months with the crossover in effect to see what happens next, annnnnnd when #252 comes around, the cliffhanger of #247 is quickly dealt with to move on with the story. If this happens, then Flynn is repeating the whole GENESIS arc again, except this time the payoff will nowhere be as shocking or impressive because we've already known for a good few months already that Sally will be back to normal, no matter what happens, we know she'll be fine.

If he does choose to go that route then it's understandable because of how "well" it worked before, and I say "well" as in it got a shit ton of people talking about the comic, not in actual terms of how well it was executed. And if he does go that way, well then it's pretty damn lazy. I guess it's like a successfull movie franchise with a simple premise to it, just keep repeating the same old shit over and over again because it works. James Bond has been getting away with it for 50 years.

This movie is the latest film in a series of very low budget films designed to look like real movies! And be released in theaters to make a quick buck via a horribly off kilter budget to profit ratio that the general public seem to be stupidly unaware of! These films use to be called 'direct to video' but now they are called 'first run features'. These films then vanish from the theaters, like a rapist leaving the scene of a crime." - Mike Stoklasa of RedLetterMedia

if you read more Prime, Mega Man # 24 begins the crossover, not STH #248, just checked the photo gallery at TSSZ, (http://www.tssznews....10/IMG_0880.jpg), your right. But if that's the case, should have been done afterwards, not 1 part before and the second part months after.

Yeah, I know Mega Man #24 starts the crossover, but in the main Sonic title it starts it part in #248 and in Universe in #51. I didn't mean the crossover flat out starts in #248, I meant it'll begin to carry on in #248.

Like I said, it's probably to get fans buzzing with a four month wait. Dunno how that'll work though because a lot of fans are jizzing in their pants about the crossover. That'll be the major talk for those four months.

How much you're going to bet that Ian is going to quit after frequent SEGA and Archie mandates, restrictions, the court case with Ken Penders, and negative fan reactions. I'm not saying it's likely, but with all this going around you would think he would quit by now. Unless, he has a strong will.

Do that and get a somewhat decent writer to do the comics

I seriously doubt Ian is going to quit. This is his "dream job" after all.

Personally, I think he's enjoying all the attention and reactions he's gotten from the fanbase due to his latest story, whether it be positive or negative.

Well, getting a new writer is a double-edge sword because you have no idea what he or she is going to do with the comic.

Hmm, never thought that before. Then again there are some signs like Ian's response to the fans and such.

well he has been a bit outspoken at times about the mandates. Heck, if they allow him to, he would a "CM PUNK" and drop a pipe bomb on he truly feels about the mandates and such.

As I don't like Ian, I would admit like to hear him give a non PC styled comment about how he really feels about these mandates.

I think if we saw the entire list ourselves, we'd be shocked and outraged.

I've got a strong feeling there are some pretty asinine demands Sega makes on the comic.
