Reboot is an overblow rumor born from the real true words "I want make a new Sonic, my Sonic" from Takashi Izuka, producer of Sonic Team.

So...is true or not? Time will say it. If the producer say that he want create a new Sonic doesn't mean he can/will do it. Also create a new Sonic doesn't mean reboot all the game...I read things like "In the reboot, all the old characters will dissapear and Sonic will make new friends" obviusly bullshit...Is like that....reboot, delete...all is bullshit. The only thing true is that Takashi Izuka said he want create a new Sonic, nothing more

Im going to take the quote as that he's gonna make Sonic more like he is now. They have been riding on Unleashed-Generations Sonic and that has been very popular. I believe he was the one behind those 3 games so hes doing a good job.

Now the reason why i hated the idea of a reboot was because the characters have been developed for a long while and they story has been better. The time a reboot would have been necessary would been after the failure known as Sonic '06. Now that sales are up a reboot would be the worst move they could make

Well, I can't find the damn video. Was a video made by one fan that in the same scene Sonic 1 and Sonic generations classic green hill zone, in Sonic 1 he pass the loop, and in Sonic generation doesn't pass the loop.

While a Reboot is unlikely it is still possible.

Though I figure if they reboot it'll be more along the lines of Mega Man X and Mega Man, a new series but not end the old one.

I think the camera could be improved with the circle pad pro.

A. There will most probably be a new animated seireis, since SEGA is trying get back into the marketing game.
B. Mario has fought a larger variety of enemies than any other charcter. By largemean like big enemies.
C. SSBB came out, and that contained the plumber and the boss, though I doubt that Nintendo and SEGA will come out with a Sonic game that invludes Mario or vise versa.

D. What we can expect is that More companies will begin to strat using Nintendo to make 'm' rated games, and SEGA will do the same. Wwhat we can hope for is that Sonic is unaffectedbby this revolution for the worst, and the SEGA gets back in the console making business.

Eggman's gonna take a backseat while they try to fish him out of the white limbo. They just need a new character idea. And if not, they'll probably invent some BS way to pull him out that doesn't involve anything relevant to any other part of the story.

Or maybe Eggman is in the Void... 0.o that'd make my freaking life.

Ken Pontac, known for writing Happy Tree Friends and for co-writing Sonic Colours and Sonic Generations in the Sonic fandom, has reportedly returned for an upcoming Sonic game. The report was found in a description of Pontac in the Guest of Honour list for the upcoming AOD 2013 convention at AODSF.org where he is credited for writing the script for the new Sonic in the past year among scripts for other upcoming games and animated series.

And about Generations, bleh...Wasn't bad but....it was very lame story.

I'm not saying Pontak is horrible, I like Happy 3 friends...just Sonic is not for him.

I'm not agree. I prefer thousand of times Sonic 2006 , SA1 & SA2 stories.

Colours is very childish and random (I mean, suddenly space, aliens that give powers etc...) and I don't care about Generations because well, is a remake of old stages...I don't really care about the story so much...Is hard do a good story about old stages.

Colours the ONLY strong point have is the soundtrack, because is epic...and those stupid aliens stop the music when you get it...that really make me mad. Stages are random, you can find an stage of 1:00 min and the next 8:00 min, and the next 20 seconds, is really really disrupted and random

'06 story was good until the Last Story. its just the glitches and the clunky controls that killed it

Generations 3DS was great, but it was short. I really do like Colors, but one thing that I dispose the most about colors is this:
"Okay, so we're gon' put you in a 3rd person stage, put you in 3 platform stages, 2 3rd person stages, 6 plat former stages, and so on."
That really grinder my gears. It made the game too random, even for the story of the game , Eggman, and Sonic combined. It was annoying.
And what are we standing around here for? We have the power to go to SEGA and suggest ideas, why don't we do that? They might say yes. And even if they don't we can at least have the honor of saying that we tried.

So what do you think the story of this new game will be?

I'm hoping it'll have a Sonic Adventure-esque storyline, with multiple scenarios and a true ending if you beat all the others.

i want a Shadow the Hedgehog like game where you choose your path and what you do has multiple consequences and all then lead to the one true ending. Like it starts the same, middle is choice driven and which all accumulates to one ending that actually makes sense

While those games are usually fun...lately the ones I've played have been....bleh.

Also it'd be hard to give Sonic Moral Choices, though giving you alternate endings based on your actions albeit not based on Moral Choices, but just actions you take in general, would be cool.

For a Sonic game? Not exactly.

Sonic is a fast past game. Life changing choices constantly like that would slow it down too much. However I think there should be choices like have Sonic can choose to attack Eggman or save the city.

Though he should have to face "the impossible choice" where he's too slow to save two people and will have to pick one or the other.

I'm not to fond of ports if I already got a copy, unless there is version exclusives, which I also hate because it means I have ta buy another copy.

Course if it's a remake.....that's a different story.
