Another disaster incoming! Video Game adaptation never work (unless some extremely rare execption). So far, i've heard of many game that was officially annonced to be adapted in movie, but never came.
Here's the list (there's probably more, but this is what i know):
-Metroid
-God of War
-Gear of War
-Uncharted
-Wolfenstein
-Resistance
-Halo
-Darkest of Days
...etc...

Im skeptical but i wanna see this work
Metriod- Nintendo is VERY strict about what heppens with their franchises
God of War- Never heard that they were, same with Gears, Uncharted and Darkest of Days
Halo- That has been bounced around from director to director, same with Wolfenstein
Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

The last news we had for a Metroid movie was somewhere in 2002 or 2003. For Wolfenstein, the last time we heard something about it was in 2008, before the director of this film was under arrest for driving drunk. For all the other exemple i gave, was movie who was officially annonced, and quickly forgotten soon after (beside Halo, of course. People still talk about it today).

I was actually looking forward to the Metroid movie when it was announced years ago, and then it just never came out. At this point, while I think Metroid has an interesting story, I'm not sure if a Hollywood blockbuster would be able to do the series justice.

The problem is that how do you take hours of gameplay and compress it into a 100-175 minute time frame and keep all the important parts still in it
