@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Try Resident Evil 4 without AR codes, on round 1 on the gamecube. Seriously a lot of luck based missions. Nowhere near as fun as the game on AR codes. Everything will kill you.

I will have nothing to do with any real scary horror games!

Though I really want to play Majora's Mask someday.

I really love horror games. I'm so fking coward playing 'em and scream every minute but I really enjoy and laugh of myself because of I'm so fking coward xD.

I can't really say horror games...for me most of the horror games are really horror. RE 0~4, Silent Hill, Amnesia...every game that have an horror ambient...Also the RPGs about horror like "The witch's house"

Meh...I'm iffy on horror games.

I like a fun scare but I don't like not sleeping at night because of scares xD.

But in all seriousness I like good fun scares. And those don't have to be like Scooby-Doo level scares to be fun. I rather enjoyed RE5 and Umbrella Chronicles (which by no means is as good as the others). I enjoyed the random Zombie monster apocalypse dream sequence in Metal Gear Solid 3. What I dislike are things that are scary and then at the end leave you feeling nothing was accomplished or learned or left hopeless.

i just like watching people soil their underwear then they play these games. i get a kick out of it
Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

Well, if you get a kick out of that, maybe you'll get a kick out of this guy playing Amnesia. It's pretty funny, especially when they find the bag of milky ways. (and i don't mean inside the game lol)

But I also agree with Zane. I can't seem to play Horror games. Not quite a fan, but videos like this...I enjoy them immensely lol. Just long as its not me (hypocrite). :P

I just finished up playing Scratches, a point and click adventure horror game. Not so much in your face horror, more suspense and psychological horror. It's an interesting story and does have good atmosphere. The music and sound is very well done.
However, I did find it frustrating trying to find some of the clues and solutions to the puzzles. The game is non-linear, you can go anywhere and discover things out of order, but once you've gone over everything once, it starts getting repetitive. Maybe I'm bad at adventure games, I dunno, but I wanted some better hint of what I was missing, or where I needed to look. I dont want the game to hold my hand, but I don't want to be running around in circles going over the same things. It had a "hints" option but even using that I didn't get much guidance. Just like.. have a chance to explore everything on your own, but have some kind of way to narrow it down if you need to. The game kinda soured me early on when I somehow missed a clue and ended up in an unwinnable state and had to start over. It took me out of the story, since discovering things at your own pace is the point.. I shouldn't get locked out of progressing the plot because I didn't do things in the proper order.
Anyway, the game did spook me a few times so it did its job.

Oh hey, it's on sale today too. http://store.steampo....com/app/46460/

Horror games typically need cheats to be fun. I love RE-4, but only when I'm unkillable and have infinte ammo and grenades and that stupid little brat Ashley can't be killed, either.

Its depend if you wanna laugh or get into the game. For example in RE 3, if you have Magnum with infinite ammo its kinda funny but the game is a joke...hey zombie, wasup? Looks like your head wanna fly high...same with R.Launcher, the game literaly EXPLODE of fun...but seriusly...thats isn't a horror/survival game...I remember when I was in danger health without herbs, few ammo and suddenly Nemesis appear....Me: "RUN FKING BIATCH" while she was running so slow (you know, in old RE if you was hurt you move more slow)...Those feelings of "fear" and "nervous" doesn't exist in a game with inifinite ammo and unkillable. Is funny, but isn't the same

True, but sometimes it's more fun to tear down a scary story and make fun of it.

Well, for me, this is what i say.

Cheats, for me, are used whenever i'm not trying to get through a game. Even Contra, but sometimes that's an exception. But when i want to get through a game like normal, no cheats.

A Horror Game with cheats is for when i want to be AWESOME. PURE AWESOMENESS. But I never use cheats, so i'm always scared of the monsters and everything.

Now, i do like different kinds of horror. Slender gives the whole stalker feels, like there's no way out, as does Amnesia, but Resident Evil gives you more of an urgency, "GET OUTTA THERE!" feel. Where you can escape from the enemy, but you need to be quick about it. Cuz making Split Second decisions can change the outcome of your fate.

And that last sentence gave me an IDEA for a game.

Amnesia is very funny. I watch a lot of videos of people playing it and laugh about 'em saying stupid things...When I start to play it I did the same thing that they do involuntarily. When one monster follow you is hard to no start shouting "RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN" xD.

Slender personaly I laugh everytime I see/play because hey, Slender the monster is not scary, the MUSIC is scary xD. Seriusly, is one of the best song for horror games I hear, the music make you feel so tense that when you see/hear something weird automaticaly jumpscare.

Amnesia / Slender are game that you don't really need skill, its investigate. Some people find bored those games even if they are scary, are lack of skill...you just have to run.

RE/ Silent Hill are game that you have to stay alert, because if you jumpscare you don't have to just push one direction key. You have to aim and shot. The example I use most of the time is Resident Evil 4 for Wii. Is the most disturbing game for me. You are aiming with the controller, when you jumpscare lost track of where you was aiming while zombies are atacking you...while they are hitting you, you are getting more and more nervous and you aim worst because of it. Is a game that you have to pay attention and try don't get nervous and don't jumpscare...if you lost track of where are you aiming normaly you don't survive or you survive with very low hp.

PD: I found the Slender "joke" xD.
