@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Well I know Top Gun is a popular movie, and I can understand a rerelease, but why 3-D?

I agree with what Prime had to say about the whole 3-D gimmick. And no, I'm not terribly impressed by it, either (or interested in paying that much more for a movie ticket). But of all the films you list, before, I think a 3-D remake of Top Gun would be the most logical.

If I must break it down, it's a jet fighter movie. Obviously, there must dogfights. And, as such, this involves objects entering and leaving close proximity with the camera, very rapidly and often. Far more so than in those other films. If my presumptions about Top Gun are correct, it's an action movie that could actually stand to gain from added 3-D (...I'd still rather rent it, though).

I've avoided it ever since I played the Nintendo game.

I'm not so sure a poorly made, late 80s licensed game is any indication of the film's quality.

Oh and Halloween and Elm Street...they aren't classics.

More like yak turds.

That a fact huh?

Halloween isn't classic? That movie started the horror boom of the 1980s, has had a successful franchise which is still going to this day, was one of the most profitable independent film ever made, was selected to be preservation in the United States National Film Registry (something Gremlins hasn't achived) and started the carrers of several of those involved infront and behind the camera. Plus, has a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes (higher then Gremlins).

Elm Street? Maybe not as successful as Halloween, but that also has had a succesful franchise with a sequel often considered better then the original and again, also started the carrers of some of Hollywood's big talents. Johnny Depp anyone? Rotten Tomatoes rating at 95%.

Yeah, those are yak turds all right.
'Star Wars' is my story, just like my house is my house. So if I wanna paint my house green, even if everyone else thinks it should be red, guess what? I'm gonna paint it Jar Jar! - George Lucas

"The Devil Inside is the new scam from director William Something Something. The movie stars actors and was edited on a computer. Somewhere. This movie is the latest film in a series of very low budget films designed to look like real movies! And be released in theaters to make a quick buck via a horribly off kilter budget to profit ratio that the general public seem to be stupidly unaware of! These films use to be called 'direct to video' but now they are called 'first run features'. These films then vanish from the theaters, like a rapist leaving the scene of a crime." - Mike Stoklasa of RedLetterMedia

Ok. Maybe I was too harsh. But I still hate them. Why?

THEY MAKE ME BOTH PISS AND S**T MY PANTS WITH FEAR.

I haven't even watched either movie, and I haven't gone a month thinking Freddy will murder me the moment I doze off!

I understand if people enjoy them, but horror movies are both a fear, and a pet peeve of mine.

Im still waiting for this supposed Halo Movie
Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

Okay, so you don't like horror movies because they make you scream like a girl, that's fine. But you still haven't watched them so you can't pass judgement until you've actually seen them. That'd be like me saying "Man, Batman and Robin is friggin terrible! Actually I haven't seen it, but I heard it really sucks!"

I understand. I shouldn't judge a movie before I've seen it. Even if it's scary. Coraline scared me, but I really enjoyed the film either way. (Though I'm afraid to watch it again. I'm glad ParaNorman wasn't as scary.)

And don't kill me for saying this, but I like Batman and Robin. (Yes, even the Bat Credit Card.)
