@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Any upcoming movies you guys are excited about?

Although it might not be in theaters, I'm most excited about this:

Ah! The huge e-begging movie!

Nah, Rolfe has kinda outstayed his welcome. All his Nerd videos are the same. Same shit, different game.

(its out now) but i wanna see Steven Spielberg's Lincoln and Skyfall
Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

Come on. They have variety. What about Battletoads, or Ninja Turtles 3, or R.O.B. the Robot?

Sorry, but he got really boring. I was there at the beginning and back then it was new, it was different, it was enjoyable. But James didn't take it anywhere. Same old routine, same old jokes, same old "shit full of fuck" as it were. It seems like he thinks that saying "fuck" multiple times and in various different ways equals comedy gold.

He actually made a joke like that. He tried to break the habit of calling things sh*t.

The Hobbit will not be taking my money. Neither will Skyfall or Lincoln.

Why? Because i can wait for the latter movies.

But the Hobbit never peaked my interest. I've yet to watch a trailer outside a movie theater. I never got into the LotR movies.

I'm ashamed to admit it, but I'm a sucker for rereleases. Ever since Nightmare Before Christmas was rereleased in 3-D, I've seen almost all of them in the past few years. The only exception is Titanic.
And there are so many rereleases coming!
Jurassic Park
Independence Day
Monsters Inc.
Little Mermaid
Star Wars Episodes 2 and 3 in the same year!
They're even converting Wizard of Oz, and of all possible movies to rerelease...

...they choose f**king Top Gun.

REALLY?

I never saw Top Gun. I heard it was good, though. And if that's true, I think a 3-D version would actually make more sense. After all, it is a movie about jet fighters.

And why would you be excited about Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith being reissued. Not only reissued, but reissued in a format that those movies weren't produced in, 3D. Those things aren't movies, those are just 150 minute long toy commericals with no redeeming qaulity about them. I'd gladly take a reissue of Top Gun over the Star Wars prequels any day. I'm not saying TG is a masterpiece, far from it, but it's a more enjoyable experience then any of the three prequels. Plus perhaps a reissue of Top Gun is a good thing to do, sort of showing an audience who haven't experienced it a chance to see a Tony Scott film. It was the biggest grossing film he had directed and it'd make a nice nod to a talented man who is no longer with us.

I'm all for reissues, I've had the chance to see classics like Halloween, Aliens, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Back to the Future and other moviess made before my time on the silver screen. But the big difference here is I saw them as they were originally intended to be seen, no bullshit 3D conversion at all. I would honestly rip out my hair if James Cameron went back and converted Aliens into 3D. 3D is just a gimmick, and not even a new one, it's been around since the 50s, it's just people are creaming their pants over it now "OH WOW! LOOK HOW AMAZING THIS IS!" but it's old shit. I got nothing against 3D movies, as long as it was intended to be 3D, but when you make a 2D movie and then convert it in post production to 3D to squeeze a few more dollars outta people, then you can fuck right off. It's like converting black and white movies into colour.

Well I know Top Gun is a popular movie, and I can understand a rerelease, but why 3-D?
Plus, I like the prequels anyway. I was born in the late 90s, and they only Star Wars movie I owned for a long time was Episode 1.

But there is one movie that deserves a rerelease more than any other, 3-D or not.

...GREMLINS.

IT'S BEEN MY LIFELONG DREAM TO SEE GREMLINS IN THEATERS.

Oh and Halloween and Elm Street...they aren't classics.

More like yak turds.
