@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

I used to catch the occasional episode of this series, man years ago. But I'd mostly forgotten about it until recently. The Chieftain linked me to the full series, on YouTube (http://www.youtube.c...low=grid&view=1). And I've gotta say...Wow. I love this series. It's brilliant and I very highly recommend giving it a watch (of course, having read the book, as I have makes it all the better, in my opinion). Check it out.

Oh my gosh! I love "Redwall!" Me and my brother used to watch the animated series every Sunday morning when it was airing on PBS Kids. It may not be as dark as "Batman: TAS" or "Gargoyles", but compared to all the other kiddie shows airing on that channel, this was really hardcore!

For me, "Redwall" was a pre-SatAM. It was epic, dark, and downright scary at certain points. But what drew us into the series the most were its characters. Matthias, Cornflower, Cluny the Scourge, ect. They were all memorable.

I'd also like to thank chief for introducing me to Redwall. This has very quickly became my favorite animated series. I'm watching season 3 right now and it just keeps getting better!

This looks interesting. I think I might get into it because it reminds me of The Secret of Nimh. The first, not the second one.

Its about a mother mouse who is trying to save her son who has Pneumonia.

Plus, you guys seem to be liking it.

Ya know, I've never seen The Secret of NIMH. Animation enthusiast friends of mine have been urging me to see it.

It's a decent film in my opinion. It has some loose ends, but I enjoyed it.

I just watched the first five minutes, and I'm already sold on this. The gregorian riffs in the background are fantastic (I love that style a lot, as I've studied it in my BM program).

I should have honestly checked out this series a lot sooner, given my love for this type of stuff. Thanks so much guys.

If you, or anyone else here is a crier keep tissues with you when you watch the last episode.

Overall, the "Redwall" series was good, it is one of the cartoons post Sonic Sat a.m that had, as Dan Drazen says, "heart." Another one that did have "heart" would be the "Avatar: the Last Airbender" series.

Well, I've watched seven episodes so far, and I'm not sure if I want to continue.

First of all, the good things:

The score is absolutely fantastic in this series. Lots of gregorian style music mixed in with modern orchestral instrumentation is amazing. I must say the opening theme is really fun to listen to.

Atmosphere is pretty nice too. I like the look of the characters. This show reminds me a lot of the Canadian WSD series, right down to the animation and quality voice acting. It's definitely a great style that is tried and true, and pretty rare these days.

Now, on to my concerns:

This may be a moot point in later seasons of the show, but I have to ask the question. Is EVERY episode in this series going to involve thwarting a ridiculous siege? The stories seem kind of repetative at the moment. Granted, I like the fact that the show has a solid story arc with seemingly no fillers, but it seems pretty simplistic. Does the series get more interesting in this department?

Secondly, someone should stage a coup on that damn abbot. He doesn't seem to even want to fight in self defense, which lead to me being confused in the second episode when a bunch of knight mice came out of the front gate. I did not expect the abbey to have warriors in it. It's a little disappointing to me that I've seen the same fighting montages several times in only seven episodes. I can only hope that gets better as well.

I'm probably gonna stick with it awhile longer, but I'm nervous. Overall I like the premise of the show, and see the potential in it.
