@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

Soon I'd like to start up selling art commissions, mostly to the furry community if I can help it. Only, because my sign-in names on each furry site I'm at says I'm a writer (screen name is Palantean Writer) I think people will get confused and that might affect sales. Therefore I'm thinking of setting up a second account wherever I can with a less-confusing name.

I'm not sure what to call myself. What does everyone think of these names? Which one do you lot think I should go for?

The Pig Ones
Pigasso
Andy Warthog
Salvaboar Dali

The Rodent Ones
Rembrat
Degu Rivera

The Feline Ones
Van-Cat Gough
Lionado da Vinci
Catisse
Clawed Monet

The Avian Ones
Swanatello
Wrenoir
Van Chough

Other
Toumoose-Lautrec

Mmm... I hate to say this, but I have to be honest... I think you're some ways away from being able to take commissions. You've got a pretty good start on things, but you're competing with people who can draw better than you and I combined, even at low rates. If you want to be competitive -- which you need to be to make money -- you absolutely have to have a firm grip on things such as anatomy, line weight variation, color and shading... it's very, very easy to overestimate your skills. I know because I've been there. In high school I thought I was the cat's pajamas. Today I look at my art from then (what little I haven't thrown away) and I ask myself, "The hell was I thinking??"

And I know it can be hard to hear such things, because I've been there too. I've had people basically point and laugh at my drawings and not even tell me what's wrong with them. It stings. But over time you get used to it and most of it will roll off your back. Just keep at it and you will improve. :3

For when that time comes, I'd suggest Catisse be your username.

Thanks for the feedback kef, but actually I'm already aware that I've still got a way to go yet.** I'm getting ahead of myself here by asking after names - it was just a bit of fun, really.

And speaking of which, I'm definitely up for critique. If anyone wants to take the time...

Looks like all in all, Catisse is winning...

**Before my brain goes to sleep on me completely, I might as well say that I'm aware of how this might sound, and I can't seem to find a better way to say it. I'm genuinely glad you mentioned it to me and, and, and...

...Nope, the old grey matter's switching off. No hard feelings, it's all good...

"The Pig Ones" almost sounds like a name in itself....xD

I like Clawed Monet.
