@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Who? xD

Don't make me back hand you one across the face.

Anybody who knows two licks about the Star Wars franchise, especially the original trilogy, knows who Wedge Antilles is. Wedge is the only character besides the main characters (so Luke, Han, Leia, 3PO, R2, Chewie, Vader and Kenobi) to have appeared in all three chapters of the original trilogy. In A New Hope he was the X-Wing pilot with the callsign Red Two who did the Death Star trench run with Luke. His X-Wing was damaged and he had to pull out. In Empire he helped during the Battle of Hoth piloting a Snowspeeder who helped bring down an AT-AT Walker when Luke's gunner was killed and in Jedi he now had the callsign of Red Leader, went in with Lando and fired the first shots to destroy the Death Star's main reactor.

Wedge is probably the most important secondary character in the original trilogy and he has been vastly expanded upon in the EU stuff.

"The Devil Inside is the new scam from director William Something Something. The movie stars actors and was edited on a computer. Somewhere. This movie is the latest film in a series of very low budget films designed to look like real movies! And be released in theaters to make a quick buck via a horribly off kilter budget to profit ratio that the general public seem to be stupidly unaware of! These films use to be called 'direct to video' but now they are called 'first run features'. These films then vanish from the theaters, like a rapist leaving the scene of a crime." - Mike Stoklasa of RedLetterMedia

I know i was joking
Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

Mark Hamill did say he wanted to make a cameo to pass the torch to a new Jedi.

He's 61. Plus Alec Guinness was in his 60s when he took the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Age isn't really a factor if they still got the stuff to do it.

Too bad his performance in "Batman Arkham City" is gonna be his last time voicing the character. Hamill said it himself on his Twitter account. He's still into voice acting though; just no longer the Joker.

It's a real shame too. He really got into the role and made the Joker one of the most memorable animated villains ever. Had SatAM continued, I wonder what it would've been like if he'd voiced Ixis Naugus.

I recall a long time ago I read George Lucas had plans for a sequel trilogy. It was going to be about two brothers who were sith make a clone army of Darth Vaders to resurrect the empire. The story would revolve around Luke's son and Luke becoming the eccentric mentor.

I'm not too eager to see a new Star Wars movie. I think the ones we have now are good enough. But the main problem is what characters will appear in it. The main cast, aside from Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker, are too old at this point to play their characters. And I can't really imagine anyone else being Han, Luke, etc. Oh well. If it's good, I think I'll wind up making myself see it.

You do realise that Kenny Baker is older then Mark Hamill, Harrsion Ford and Carrie Fisher right? And for most of Sith R2 was either rendered in CGI or it was footage shot during Clones that featured Baker. If anything, Baker is probably the one not likely to return compared to the three main cast members of the original trilogy.

And as for the too old to play their characters, that's bullshit. Bruce Willis is still playing John McClane after 25 years, Sylvester Stallone took up play Rocky Balboa and John Rambo after those characters spent years away from the screen. Hell, Leonard Nimoy came back to play Spock in the 2009 Star Trek movie at the age of 78 and that was about 18 years since the last time he had played Spock on screen.

I don't know. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. But being the kind of fan that I can sometimes be, I'll probably just be butthurt from now until it comes out.

You mean like how Batman fans were raging at pics that were released of The Joker from The Dark Knight before the movie was released? How they went on about how the look of the character was all wrong and it was ruining The Joker character without having seen the performance?

It's fan nature to get butthurt when we see something different, or hear about some news that we (and I mean our own personal opinion) don't agree with, casting news etc, but what good does all the butthurting and rage and ranting get you when you eventually see this thing that has been pissing you off before you actually sit down to read, watch or listen to it yourself, only to discover you actually enjoyed it? Doesn't all that ranting and anger from before seem pathetic? Best thing to do is not let it dig at you until you see the movies.
