@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Disney has purchased George Lucas’ LucasFilm LTD for $4.05 billion, the two companies announced on Tuesday.
Disney will pay half of that sum in cash and the other half in stock, based on Disney’s stock price at market close Tuesday.
Lucas, the legendary creator of Star Wars, founded the company in 1971. LucasFilm has produced Lucas’ many high-profile projects, such as American Graffiti, the Star Wars franchise and the Indiana Jones franchise.
“Lucasfilm reflects the extraordinary passion, vision, and storytelling of its founder, George Lucas,” Bob Iger, Chairman and CEO of Disney, said in a statement. “This transaction combines a world-class portfolio of content including Star Wars, one of the greatest family entertainment franchises of all time, with Disney’s unique and unparalleled creativity across multiple platforms, businesses, and markets to generate sustained growth and drive significant long-term value.”
Lucas, co-chairman and CEO, has made clear in recent years that he plans to step aside and brought on Kathleen Kennedy, a long-time collaborator, as his successor.
Kennedy will serve as president of Lucasfilm, reporting directly to Disney studio chief Alan Horn.
Disney has excelled at creating films and characters that it can turn into global brands, such as animated characters like Finding Nemo or the Marvel superheroes. Its theme parks and consumer products division produce substantial revenues as a result.
Lucasfilm’s past films, particularly Star Wars and Indiana Jones, fit right into that mold. In addition to her role as president, Kennedy will serve as the brand manager for Star Wars, helping Disney to further capitalize on a brand that has been turned into video games, toys and just about everything else.
Disney has also announced that a seventh Star Wars film will be released in 2015, with more features in the franchise to come.

I dont know what to say about this...
Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

I have a feeling that Disney will ruin Star Wars and Indiana Jones now...

George already ruined Star Wars. Everything good that came out of the franchise was stuff he never made. Knights of the Old Republic, Clone Wars series. Hell, even General Grievous was made up by someone he hired.

They did a good job making Pirates of the Caribbean and reviving Tron.

POC 4 was actually written as an alternate POC 2. But was put on the shelf.

Also Disney owns Marvel and Avengers was awesome. Perhaps Disney will still do good with the movie.

Also I liked POC 4

But whatabout Tron Legacy? They took a dead franchise and made it epic again. Plus the cartoon they churned out is awesome too.

I did enjoy Tron: Legacy. Mostly because I'd seen the first one, already. So, I found it really novel. But still.

Would the original Star Wars trilogy have been crap if Lucas didn't have the kind of help he got? Yeah, probably. But what people forget when they say this is that this goes for pretty much everything in Hollywood. It's a rare director who can consistently put out good films even when given free reign. Hell, for all we know, Steven Spielberg comes up with half-baked ideas all the time. If so, the difference is that Spielberg lets others shoot them down.

Never saw Tron or Tron Legacy. I just have a feeling Disney will destroy whats left of Star Wars and Indy. Sure disney does make good movies but im skeptical about this one

I don't think Indiana Jones needs Disney to ruin it. I've seen Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Lead is nuke proof. 1950's fridges were mostly Lead and nuclear particles cant go through lead

Seriously?

WWI tanks don't have cannons like the one in Last Crusade. The RPG Indy uses in Raiders hadn't been invented at the time the movie takes place. Willy Scott is annoying as heck.

And everybody hates Indy 4 cuz of the fridge.
