My dad was a cameraman for scary. Movies, and the first one I watched was jason goes to hell. It wasn't scary at all.

I have to agree that horror movies aren't scary. But it can be fun to root for a good monster, like Jason.I just think its boring! All scary movies are boring! I watch Insidious with Reed and he screamed while I just watched!

Have you seen John Carpenter's "The Thing" (1982, not the 2011 prequel)? That tends to give a lot of people nightmares. Or turn them into Thing fans (I'm in the latter class of people).
I also agree with the idea that the Parnormal Activity movies are bad. I can tell a bad movie from the trailers... And the PA movies just look like a bunch of bad special effects trying to be scary...

The First Saws were good
I liked that especially logical moment in the first one. Why use your jacket to pull the cellphone towards you when you can saw off your own foot?

The Saws are stupid. Reed won't stop watching them, and now they bore me. Reed clings to me during the good parts, so at least I get something out of it
