That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

I watched Attack the Block yesterday. Wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia....ttack_the_Block

It's a British film, the first film effort of director Joe Cornish and has a gritty quality common to Trainspotting along with the subtlest science fiction feel (beyond the aliens, of course). A gang of youths encounter an alien and kill it. Soon after, more aliens come and target the gang in what first seems to be an act of revenge.

Violence, gore, swearing, very thick London accents :P Definitely worth a look.

Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

I'd have to say my favorite movie is Ghostbusters. Clerks is not too far behind.

My favorite movie would be The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy if only it were as funny as the book. Instead it's the worst incarnation of Hitchhiker's by far. They left out all the funny jokes for "pacing" (hey morons, Hitchhiker's was never about plot and pacing is irrelevant) and the majority of the new jokes were not funny. I'm not sure the director had the slightest clue about what Hitchhiker's is all about. Probably the jokes that made it in that were funny were just a matter of a stopped clock being right twice a day.

Yeah, I saw the Hitchhiker film. It was very so-so, and such a shame that as you say, the director didn't seem to really have the feel of the original book. I think the most impressive bit was Marvin's look. Very sleek, if very depressed.

I caught just the final 5 minutes of Shallow Grave too, and that has to be my favourite ending of any film. I love the way Danny Boyle used an annoyingly stodgy love song and reframed it using the end of the story he was telling in the film. It seems like Film4 are showing quite a few British films at the moment...

No, because they didn't pay a dime to the guy who wrote the original book for the first one, so he gave them the finger when they started talking about a sequel. Metaphorically speaking, I mean. Well, who knows, maybe literally too for all I know.
