I've been playing Pokêmon Sapphire lately, and I was wondering "What if Sonic and his friends had Pokèmon?" So I thought about which Pokèmon would best suit many characters.
Sonic would probably have Pikachu or Raichu because of their speed.
Tails I guess would have Vulpix or Ninetales (for obvious reasons)
Knuckles I think would want a strong type. I fit him with Charizard.
Amy would want powerful, beautiful types to impress Sonic. Maybe Gardevoir.
Cream and Cheese...Definitely the Pichu Bros. So Cute!
Rouge would want a stealthy Pokèmon like Snesal.
Shadow would want a Dark or Ghost Pokèmon. The best I can fit him with would be Giratina.
Eggman would probably set his sights on Legendary Pokèmon, but I think he would try to catch them with robots and machines.
Anyhow, this is just my opinion, and I'd like to see what you guys think. Post below!

I think Shadow would have Darkrai instead, but otherwise I think you got it pretty good.

If Sonic had one of the fastest in the game, that would prolly be Ninjask.
Though, to be fair...I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they had Pokémon that were closest to the species that they are. So...

Cream: Lopunny
Espio: Kecleon
Vector: Feraligator or Krookodile

I noticed a few of y'all suggested Fire types for Knuckles; I figure Fighting types would be more his style. Maybe a Lucario?
