@  furrykef : (25 July 2015 - 03:35 AM)

When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

Don't worry about it, Laser's little butt buddy FunnelVortex seems to be taking up the challenge, you can always buy tickets to that, although I wouldn't expect much of a show from him, like when he went off at me in the "Max Is At It Again" thread but suddenly clamed the fuck up when others in the forum weren't agreeing with him. I'm still awaiting his reply in that thread.

But hey, when it comes to Laser, I don't expect change, what with his constant Flynn bashing, Sgea bashing, you know, the usual stuff. Because this comic which he hates sooooooo much really gets under his skin and he can't do the senisble thing and stop paying any attention to it. Nope, he has to get himself all worked up into a frenzy, get on his little soapbox and rant away. And I gotta tell ya, a lot of the time, it's a riot! I do enjoy reading his posts, for the comedy value.

And as for Sally... *ahem* "ghastly butchering with a blowtorch" yeah, this shit was hardcore! So hardcore infact that I've had nightmares about it! I just can't believe they went ahead and actually SHOWED Eggman approaching her with a blowtorch! Geeez, if they had shown him actually modifying her, cutting away and upgrading her, I think I would of shit my pants in fright!

I do like how people are shit fitting at these redesigns, like no comic, or show or anything has ever had it's characters undergo such a "radical" redesign, but now they are also fearing at a personality change too? It's like this is the first time in history that characters have been redesigned! And all the anger and rage is pretty sad to look at. Nothing wrong with disliking a new look for a character, but to go as far as to declare a character is ruined by how they look now is going a little too far.

I'm pretty sure somebody already posted Bunnie's new look.

It was in a large image of the main Archie characters.

Not exactly ignoring if you're replying.

And who says I'm trying to get you to bite? Just expressing my "opinion" on ya is all.

If you get all butthurt at that, not my problem.

You know what's great about complaining that Bunnie's look might be changing?
It's already happened so many times and people can't remember that her modern look was entirely different from the "classic SataM."
And really popular.

Im not really complaining about Bunnie's supposive new look though i dont like the fact shes gonna look more like a Sega character
Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

But it wasn't a major redesign.

It was merely Bunnie getting long hair and cowboy attire.

How does that even remotely compare?

Actually, they're quite different. Her origonal SatAM design is smaller and more chibi-ish compared to her modern design. Since the modern Sonic style is iconic to most fans, it makes sense for the characters to adapt to that style. Otherwise, they'll feel out of place.

Also, I find it a bit hypercritical to accuse the SatAM cast of becoming stereotypes when they already were stereotypes. Sally's an 80's/90's action girl, Antoine's a cowardly French soldier, and Bunnie's a southern belle with a thick accent. If that's not stereotypical, then call me a cab.

Fuckin' A man, you hit it right on the head. Buuuuut they'll just complain that they are stereotypes with a Sega design now.

And while we're on the subject of Bunnie designs, let's not forget this little treasure which showed up in the comic before Bunnie's actual 1st apperance:

Agreed. I like the original designs for the SatAM characters, but they do feel out of place design wise in the comic. It's a Sega product afterall and in this day, nearly every new comic character that pops up has the Sega look. The characters should feel like they belong in the same universe and have a uniform look.

So true. While that does unfortunately mean some of our favorites get redesigned, in all honesty I'd rather they fit then look out of place. Characters who look out of place are quick to be cut out.

Still, its alienating who they were originally. Like the original looks were ok as they were. Bunnie changed a bit but that never minded me. Im split on this

If it was a gradual change it wouldnt be as bad but like this is just happing like *bam* change its not good

Before and after Sonic was sent to space for a one year trip, Bunnie got a redesign in the meantime and yet, i don't see anyone complain about that. But now that she got a redesign under the writting of Flynn, it's consider as a terrible disaster.

This really isn't that fair of a comparison since you're jumping from her Issue 3 design to the one most recently used before she was Segafied. What about when she got those cybernetics from the Sonic Special Issue 11?

Also, didn't most of the characters, if not all of them adapt to a more SegaSonic look as time went on? Remember Sally from Issue 130?

Plus, like I said, it was minor modifications. The same facial cheeks and cybernetic limb design were pretty much intact, just drawn differently with added long blonde hair and cowboy attire.

It wasn't that big of a change to me.

I wasn't talking about stereotype so much as becoming a bland game character.

I mean, let's be honest, the game cast in the recent games have gotten very little character development, if any in the recent games. It's been pretty much the same old, same old with them.

The last thing I would want is for characters like Bunnie and Sally to be subjected to the same. At least they had more character development during their time in the comic.

Those aren't her only redesigns.

Posted ImageRemember this one?

Posted ImageI kinda like this one. It's all Mega Man syle.

The first one though is just Bunnie wearing a Daisy Duke style of outfit after she got her new cybernetics.

The 2nd one I'll agree with you about. I like that one too. But still, Bunnie didn't really get a redesign there so much as have cooler looking cybernetics.

Before and after Sonic was sent to space for a one year trip, Bunnie got a redesign in the meantime and yet, i don't see anyone complain about that. But now that she got a redesign under the writting of Flynn, it's consider as a terrible disaster.

Bunnie still looked like Bunnie, that's why.

If anything, the cowboy attire and long blonde hair complimented her.

How does this: Posted Image compliment her?

Granted, it's merely a guess and rough sketch drawing from a fan, but this might not be that far off.

I'm not here to protect him, but rather try to make sense out of this. If you want to bash him, you must have your reason. But when you bash something even if you don't have any concrete fact to back-up your point, that's going too far. So, don't call me a ''Flynn Protector'' or whatever, because this is not my job or my intention.
